Super diamond day 2 report,
Continued to play some ranked and unlike I was lead to believe I still gain points, I'm beginning to think a certain guile on this forum is actually a North Korean agent sent to mislead the true patriots with a disinformation campaign, considering trying to grind ultra diamond but not sure if I have the motivation yet. More on bum downs continued adventures in street fighter to follow.
first of all super diamond especially now is not a struggle nor is getting to ultra i did that a year ago when points werent massively inflated and ultra diamond was top 150 or something. now its top 800. super diamond was top 400 now its over 1000 lol so idk why youre going on about nobody good cares hell getting to master rank barely means anything now plus cfn in general ha been improved

i literally saw some online warrior eu streamer hit super diamond with a brand new account using zeku faster than bumdown did with his 1 account in 2 years gdlk bro congrats

ya ok bro everyone is super impressed lul

Oh shazzy you do care! I was so worried you'd ignore me, but it's good to hear you say master doesn't mean anything, finally getting your ego in check will be good for you.

master doesnt matter to players who are actually good. there are almost 300 masters yet the points between the 1st guy and the 300th guy are so far apart yet theyre both master rank which is why it doesnt mean much. the rank has lost value through inflation where decent bums will eventually catch up to master through sheer persistence. this could be solved by adding new rankings and matching people closer in ranks but they’ll mever do that to avoid long queue times. idk how many times i have to explain this to you.

it still def doesnt mean guys like you could ever reach it let alone maintain it so go ahead and quit while youre ahead

I mean not to be rude but I think the math says you're wrong. We have winrates within 5% of each other for recent ranked matches, the main difference is that you have literally(and I'm using this word in the literal sense), about 500% more matches played than me, it's not like the pool of players Ima vs will change. So even a scrub like me could probably get close to master with enough matches played.

im getting a hitbox what is the pros to having a hitbox
Lol, why are you getting a hitbox if you don't know what the pros are?

Anyways, I think it's really just preference. Some people are more used to moving a stick with their wrist, some would rather push buttons. For me, I would be quicker and more accurate with a hitbox, but doing Gief's 360 motions would be very hard to get used to.

Correct. Unless a game is badly designed the input method (pad, stick, hitbox) is just a matter of preference. Now, are the aspects of some games that aren't, strictly speaking, badly designed were it's advantageous to be using a hitbox? Absolutely. If I still played UMvC3 or Guilty Gear Xrd or more specifically certain characters in those games I would absolutely want to use a hitbox to maximize the characters' potential. I would like to think that the existence of Hitbox controllers has forced designers to give more thought to their decisions like, for example, minimum height restrictions on air specials.

On Zangief specifically I would say that 360 motions are not any more or less difficult to input consistently on hitbox versus other methods. 720s on the other hand can be a bit of a pisser. Honestly, about the only motion I've ever encountered were it was a legit struggle to hit consistently was the motion for Guile's Super and U1 and Decapre's U2 in SFIV (db, df, db, ub+stuff).

Finally got my new stick delivered I bought on Black Friday! (old one broke) So after a year hiatus I'm back at square one so I need some training partners to level up... If anyone is down lmk and fair warning I have to re-learn the basics and shit so if you're ultra squared master don't waist your time if you don't have patience lol

All jokes aside I just need some consistent good games on good connections to get my shit together, idc about wins or losses just as long as I'm learning!

I'll play with you sometime if you're east coast. We could do discord for voice too if you want.

I would love seeing Sagat making a comeback in SFV season 3.
Sagat was such an amazing character & Capcom needs to bring back the King of Muay Thai.

I'm 99% sure he going to be in season 3. From the rumors he will not play like his previous version. I don't necessary think it will be a bad thing. I can see his low fireball being a V trigger.

I agree that CC should be removed in the neutral. I think it should be used more on Punishes and whiff moves.
