Anyone who thinks adam needs zero changes either has no idea about his trait cancel plus frames and ex divekick plus frames, or is in blissful ignorance mode or trying to divert attention.

There is no reason in the world that a character can get to be PLUS F**CKING 23 or so off of a string into trait. Who was defending pre patch tempest Lao when he was plus 27 and saying he was fine? No one.

Also it's insane to me that he can do an instant fullscreen overhead to get in and be plus 10 because he did it low enough.

Almost all his strings can be canceled into trait making them either plus or 0, and he has a 6 frame d1 so you can't press buttons. I mean johnny and Liu players had to get dat crisp afexecution for their plus frames, and Adams get to do it for free, giving them the freest shimmy in the game.

Also yes, I know you can interrupt his d1 special, but it's hard to do and if you're off even by a frame, he gets to full combo you. Yay...

I'm not here to try and bury adam, but his excessive plus frames need to go. Here are my proposed changes:

- All trait cancels are significantly less plus, and now only about 3 strings are actually plus instead of all of them. IMO 112, 113 and f12. Max amount of plus frames should be plus 7 from 113 trait.

- Ex divekick is now always -4 no matter the height it's done at.

- His shocker (where he electrocutes you) should be -6 on block with way less blockstun and pushback. Idk why it is how it is now.

Then I think he'd be perfectly balanced.
Tempest lao when he was plus 27 was way way worse than black adam they're very different. Lao could sit there and jail you over and over with 112124 ex hat spin and build crazy meter, adam has cool-down on his trait. Not sure how you can nerf adam without hurting him too much maybe just nerf his jailing plus frames off trait to where he only jails a d1. I don't really care though since I sold the game and moving on to marvel lol.

even half that for Brainiac is also abysmal

I like this a lot, as a Fate/Brainiac player. Also agree with 0 bias, which is totally possible.

Even ignoring the results of the poll the fact that this thread was started, what, a day after the patch dropped for most people is IMO more concerning.

9 pages in and not a single person has listed the things that make Dr. Fate "too strong" or "OP".

I can see some changes that would make him more fair, sorta.
-- Nerf B2 so that it's -14 on block (rn it's -5 and 9 frames)
-- Remove the ability to special cancel it on block, so ppl dnt just do it in the neutral and then make it safe w/ db2.

thats it really. i don't see what else is too strong about him minus b2.

f2 to be a high and f2+u3 needs to be at least -20.. How come that a dedicated zoner gets a better get in tool than non zoner characters?. it's ridiculous.
There’s literally no argument to be had because it’s painfully obvious you have no idea what F2 is, what Dr. Fate is, or any of it, you just wanna have something to say. If you are losing to Dr. Fate because of the block advantage of F2U3, they could delete half of his moves and you’d still lose to him.

im actually dying laughing rn. this is so rude and im usually the one to go "pls stop being mean" but this is H I L A R I O U S.

Dr. Fate is literally all mids up close, really GOOD mids, but still mids. And most of the time they're negative (unless he's using ankhs). So, I think he's fine. If they made his f2 a high, I'm not sure if that would really destroy the purpose of the attack, but I think it would still be redundant. It's still 9 frames, it's still super fast, it would still check his opponents for walking forward, it would still punish negative attacks. I think the main thing it would do is ruin his ability to punish attacks that are -10 or less on block if the opponent is in a crouching animation. So nah, I'll have to pass on that.

It would still be a good whiff punisher, but F2 xx Gyph which is Fate’s way of checking you in that range would be gone. But I guess we wanna nerf F2 the godlike “get in” too. We all know that Dr. Fate is strong because of his “get in” tools.

omg .. that must be so sad. LOL. I support all hitbox fixes honestly. Consistency is a MUST.
Especially considering its flashes only up close fast option. He basically cant press in fates face unless he’s done something negative.

Not sure how many frames it takes for him to get into a hurtbox position where flash cant d1 him. If its low i’d be salty.
