I was originally super salty about the requirements until I finally got all the loadouts, gear and abilities I wanted for Beetle/Vixen.

It only took a couple days, but I'm about to have all requirements for the first part of the legendary multiverse for Beetle tonight.

The only stumbling block for him that's gonna take a while is the epic gear requirements and that 5,000 minutes shit lol. Luckily I main Beetle at least.

The only two characters I'm doing this for is him and Mari. Actually seems doable in a couple months.

What I'm wondering though is whats the "My Rules" reward for Beetle supposed to be/do? It's separate from the Legendary Scarab gear unlock and is tied to the bonus fourth part of the multiverse. Most excited about that part actually.

I'm hoping they inevitably add a full set for the legendary gear and the people that beat this before then get it.

If anyone has a guild with open slots, I play this pretty much every day lol.

Yo Espio, wanna make our own guild? We can scoop up some other TYMers as well. Not sure about Beetle, but I definitely wanna unlock Cyborg's legendary cannon when it's available

I think eventually we will get a full Legendary sets. I mean, there's the option to Bulk Sell Legendary Gear, and I don't think they would've wasted time making that option if you only have 1 Legendary ever possible to sell. I think they just wanted to get the idea out there a couple of months after the game dropped because I think people including myself would be even more pissed if they had waited until everyone's full Legendary Multiverse and Sets were completed, because that would've been like May of 2018, and MKXI would be around the revealing point at that time. So who knows.
Bulk sell for legendary is there just because I'm sure it was easier to implement that feature for all gear as opposed to limiting it to everything but legendary. That doesn't mean much.

Also, can you imagine doing this shit 5 times for your character to get a full set? No thanks.

The problem I have with it is it all starts at zero. It doesn't take into account what you've already done.

Additionally, it's only a few characters right now and not the whole cast.

Hey, Everyone! Our guild (Stoic League, ID: QR10X) has performed the kick of inactives and have 5 slots open. If you are seeking your Legendary pieces, active participation in Guild can help you by providing some synergy in the effort to get your minutes, your damage (Leading Boss Battles are especially helpful in this so PS PLUS is essential for participation), your matches, and your Epic Gear requirements met.

The damage and stuff is obvious but I only learned recently that the Gear Drop Rarity Boost and Double Rewards Boost that you get for being active makes it so the probability goes way up that the gear that drops is for the character you are playing. I am up to 115 WW Epics after a week and two days of pursuit using this method. I only had 47 when the augment first dropped.

If you would like to use the Guild in your action plan for acquiring Legendary gear and will be putting in work you are welcome to apply. Put Stanlos in your application.

Happy Hunting!

So there are two ways an active Guild (that is the key for this) can help with Epics. The first is the Gear Drop Rarity Boost which makes it so that 1) you get more Epics as your dropped reward, and 2) that the Epics are for the character that you are playing.

The second is the Double Rewards which doubles the completion rewards you get from your towers. This either gives you extra chances at the RNG through the Mother Boxes or provides two Epics instead of one. There is a slot on the dashboard for a third boost but we didn't get it this last period.

Still, the ones we did get were tremendously helpful. I think the Epics will now be completed well in advance of the minutes for me. After a week and two days I have 115 WW Epics. Hopefully we will surge fast enough this week that the boosts can be active even longer (thus the benefit of an active Guild--clearing the stages faster gets you the boosts earlier and so you have longer duration before the reset to farm the benefits).

Happy Hunting!

Gotham event. Get your Diamond and Pat boxes while you can.

Man. I don't know why, but I can't keep from trying to push forward on this. That's even though I'm not playing or enjoying the game the way I would be free to if I wasn't in some sort of rat race I'm way behind in. Even with the AI working the clock for me all waking hours I'm home for days, I'm not even half done with the minutes requirement. I got a couple more lasso finishes I that won't take any time, but minutes and gear are still brutal. Everything else is and has been done for days.

Only at 60 epics. Cracking boxes and boxes of both guild and standard and I think I get tops of 7ish for her a day. Going to have to see if I can get my cats trained to reset endless when they see Batman doing kicks. I think I'm on pace to do it in like a month min right now.

Does anyone actually know what happens when they rotate towers? I assume we will be seeing a different set come in after about a month at which point we may be out of luck to cash in. Then if they do rotate back in (months later) does any of this even count? Other multiverse events reset, isn't it reasonable to fear that all this progress could get dumped if we don't beat whatever clock these things are on?

I really hope that they don't rotate towers and instead add second, third, etc screens to put new towers up. Given the utter absurdity of some of the requirements, adding a clock to them or putting the progress towards them on hold while they rotate would be inane.

All the other verses have timers and I didn't see ones for the legendary ones which is a good sign they won't expire, but I don't remember hearing any details on what the plan for other characters is. While we are trying to get these done there are others waiting just to get started with their characters.

I'm also hoping I can unload all the epic gear that is filling up in some of my inventories. I don't want to sell them but I'm ending up in overflow faster and faster. This morning I found a WoWo epic in slot 20 of 20 and was like "that was close."

They said these aren't rotating. They're going to add 7 more each patch.

Not sure if "They" mentioned this but does my work with GL now (starting with the first day the Legenadary MV dropped) count when his MV is available?

I think all we know is here at around the 24:00 mark; https://www.twitch.tv/videos/173298261

Watching it makes it sound like your time would count, but you wont really know what your goals are. Safe bet, you will want to save those epics

Player of All, Master of None.
I'm not sure I agree with the notion that "they expect you to do this eventually". I'm just looking at the recorded trophy stats on that ridiculous MK9 one that required you to play 24 hours with literally every character among other requirements and .7% of players actually got it. That's about 28,000 people, going off of this "closer to 4 million" figure https://www.eventhubs.com/news/2013/jan/11/boon-mortal-kombat-9-sold-closer-4-million-units-3-likely-outperformed-vanilla-street-fighter-4/

Maybe it's their way of doing something like Halo 3's Recon Armor (I use 3 because that's when I stopped playing and I know Recon meant something then) where they don't want people to really have the Legendary stuff, so it's like a "woah dude, that guy is hardcore" when you see it. I just wish there was a better way to do it then "waste a million hours doing mindless nonsense"
But recon wasn't for "hardcore" players. It was for developers and people who got lucky enough to 1. play the Bungie developers on Bungie Day and 2. Beat the Bungie developers in said match. I ran into 2 people with Recon. 1 was a developer and the other was someone who got like "most rocket kills" on Bungie Day or some shit. Also Walshy because he's Walshy. Legendary gear requirements aren't bad except for gear and minutes played. Gear is random and shouldn't be a thing. I've got like 5 pieces in 2 weeks.... At that pace it'll take 2 years

Ok, I suspect a small bug with sacrificing gear.

The sacrificing gear thing makes more sense when you think about characters that don't have legendary towers yet and you being able to stock up on all epics for all characters and basically meet that requirement for all characters at around the same time. It really sucks trying to do it the first time, but subsequent characters will probably be easier if you can sacrifice for several at a time.

I'm trying to take advantage of that. I have something like 14 characters at L20, Batman and Cheetah included. Blue Beetle is NOT one of them.

Now it won't let me sacrifice for Blue Beetle which is understandable as he isn't leveled, but I do have some gear already sacrificed for both Batman and Cheetah. It has let me pay into those accounts, I have done it already. Thing is it stopped letting me sacrifice for those characters after I was already doing it. The character selection in towers shows I have a count of gear for those characters (count by names), I have lots of epic gear for them as seen in while in character customization inventory, but those pieces don't show in the actual sacrifice grid in the legendary tower.

To get them to show up, there is a work around. I had to customize Cheetah, and make sure I inspected each piece(that may not be required) and then they showed up. I would be tempted to think that was normal behavior but I don't have to inspect the epic gear I'm sacrificing for WoWo and the new pieces show up and glow like they do when you haven't looked at them.

Just and FYI if someone else runs into it. I wasn't sure what was going on and I was hoping to free up inventory slots and couldn't figure out why it stopped working.

I think I know what you're talking about and if so it's not a bug. If you're already wearing a piece of Epic Gear that piece won't show up in the Sacrifice Gear window since you can't even sell Epic Gear pieces you're currently wearing in the Customize Character section anyway. If you've favourited a piece and you're not wearing it however it'll still show up in the Sacrifice Gear window but you won't be able to sacrifice it since it's favourited, but it's good since you can use the bulk mark option to have the window auto-select all Epic Gear pieces you haven't favourited and aren't already wearing so you can get rid of your extra Epics quicker.

That's not it. This is not favored or equipped gear. 100% free gear that doesn't show up. The counts and and what the grid shows are also out of sync.

Equipped gear doesn't show in the count next to the character name selection or in the grid for the tower. That is true, and expected. (I do have favored gear showing for WoWo in the grid which I wish I wasn't seeing.) In this case it will say there is viable gear but not display it in the grid (it has a count of viable gear next to the characters' names.) Going into character customization, changing nothing, and returning and all 20 pieces magically showed up. It's inconsistent with what I'm seeing happen for WW too.

I've created my share of bugs over the years, and I feel like this is making crawly scratching noises. The only way I wouldn't think it was one is if it was coded to not show you un-inspected gear so you don't sacrifice stuff when you haven't looked at it. That doesn't hold water seeing as how I've sacrificed about 50 pieces of WoWo gear without looking at them, so I don't see that as designed behavior unless there was s different kind of bug. I deliberately went into customization to see if that resolved the issue, because that's the kind of user action I would expect to be a work around for a bug like this if there was one. Seemed to work.

I would consider it, but since I got it going it isn't doing the same thing anymore. Batman seem to get fixed when Cheetah did. This is a full week or more of me wondering why I couldn't get the gear to pull up and checking several times.

At this point all I can do is mention it and say it's behaving differently now that it was all this past week. The game has been restarted a couple of times in that time span as well which fixed nothing. As long as it's rare and temporary then I'm not too worried about it. For a while there I was thinking I was locked out of being able to sacrifice the gear permanently which would have been a much bigger deal.
