Most FUN You've Had With A Character

Glacius is definitely the most fun character I've ever played, I love seeing up an obstacle course for people to get through. I've gotten a lot of hate mail with him

when I played an FG character? hmm... lemme think.. prob in MKX when I played kotal khan and everyone thought he was low tier at the time. Had a fight with a guy who i reked 30+ times over. doing max dmg combos as blood god, moving onto sungod tick thowing for days. the guy literally couldn;t beat me no matter what character he chose. Then he quit thought he'd be salty af, went to bed. Logged back in the next day, he messages me "dude, I love kotal kahn and gave up on him cause i thought he was bad and gave up, now I've seen you play him i'm gonna try him again. I replied good lad he's way better than people think. tthen he messages me like a month or so later telling me how happy he was that he played me that time casue he leveled up big time with kotal and was winning hella matches cause of our fights.... filled me with pride and still remember to this day.

It'd have to be Red Hood because I wanted him to be in video game since 2009. Now that I play him he is a lot of fun to play and the effort I put into him is worth it to me because he's my favorite D.C. Universe character.

Great footsie tools, solid zoning, decent pressure, deadly kombo damage... She has almost everything what I want. In addition, beautiful basic costume with awesome sound quality of fans make me so satisfying.

Spinal in KI. I just love that character so much and he was a blast to use. I miss playing him now that I think about it. Maybe time to dust off the X1 and see if I can still climb back into Killer with my boy lol

MK9 Kitana
Wiff punishing goddess, I loved the way nrs incorporated her use of her fans, well above the way they did in mkx. Her combos were smooth, flashy, lengthy, damaging, and versatile which make for a fun ass character. Her kicks were forceful and long, her stabs with her knives all the same, her strings and specials were visceral yet elegant looking. Gameplay wise she made sense, footsie based with top tier pokes and punishing moves. Besides zoning, use your air control and long range normals. Poke out of pressure as soon as possible, wiff punish. Very similar to INJ2 WW, so guess who I main now? Mobility a plus. Character design, costumes and personality a plus (above mkx), never forget d1 cutter <3

Jade (mk9)

Glow. Ex glow. Staff combos. "BO JA" "COMO SE YA" "NEEEYA" first to make returning projectiles on next gen look cool. Gameplay wise nrs wut. Cool fun quirky factor though way to go

Raiden (mk9)
Gimmicky as fuck "online" teleport pressure. 334 ~ Tele > f2~ ex grab. D3 d3 d3 d3. Combos were sick and creative though very sutualtional. Casual as fuck Tele > f24 SUPERMAN. Oh and SUPERMAN. Nrs make INJ2 Tele pure casual approved spam for like.. 3 months for the fun of it. Just do it.

Sonya (mk9)

Fucking d4 military stance. Fucking ia dive kick. Blows you a kiss in the corner. Saavy and versatile mid screen combos. Go for damage? Go for reststand? Ex cartwheel? ANOTHER EX CARTWHEEL JUST DO IT BRO. ANOTHER EX CARTWHEEL AGAIN LOL CMON BRO JUST BLOCK. OH WAIT WATCH YOUR FEET. OH WAIT WATCH YOUR HEAD. OH WAIT YOU CAN'T BLOCK TACKLE LOLOL. Versatility is the WORD.

Karin Kanzuki (SFV)
Yes, had a plethora of unviable tools and yes, had virtually no set ups besides basic Oki and tick throws and a jab corner reset, and yes, my God, still fun as all hell. Frame trap queen, footsie goddess, wiff punishing master. Simple and EFFECTIVE= FUN. Combos flashy, not the easiest but one of the most satisfying, elegant, spunky personality, pressure fo days, awesome animations that matched her style. GUREN KEN. MEIIIOOOKEN. OOOOOHHHOOHOHO.

D'vorah
Loved her so much I almost bought a man hood and cape I found online that resembled her default's (not kidding. It's posted somewhere on my page). Every one here knows already: f112, puddle set ups, long range oviposer moves and pokes, sick x ray, buttons into cancels into more buttons into another cancel into more abusing buttons. +22 REO says what the fuuuuuu. Nrs will probably never make such an abusive pressure character again like her, and rightfully so. But it was all the lols and fun while it lasted. If they do use her again in mk11, I hope she has her basic shoulder animations and some sort of in your face pressure, long range pokes, fuck puddle honestly, they'll probably do better because they're becoming better.

She just everything going on, I've never had so much fun playing a character.
You could play her 6 different ways.
Combos were flashy, fun and challenging.
And just teleporting around like a maniac was gold.

Oh! And those trait shenanigans!
That db3 armoured lightning stance thing is my favourite move ever.

MK9 Skarlet - never in life i ever tried a character which her main goal was to make people block and kill them by blocking making her even stronger, that was so original.

TTT2 - Kunimitsu - very good mobilty and a really strong poking game, felt like skarlet in tekken without blocking mechanics

SF ex2 Plus - Doctrine Dark

T7 - Jin, he is everything i wanted him to be since T6.

It might actually be Yoda from SC4 character had all his big dumb flips from the movies and was too short for half the attacks in the game not to mention he couldn't be thrown. His combos were fun and everyone sent me hatemail it was great.

The Power of Lame Compels You
Soul Calibur 5 Astaroth/Nightmare. Everything these characters did felt impactful. Like they were hitting you with two tons of bricks every time they swung. Nightmare's B44 string is one of the most brutal feeling moves you can hit (especially wall combos with B44? Dear god that shit's good) or fucking impaling your opponent as they grovel on the floor, so satisfying. And Astaroth? you through your opponent around like a complete rag doll. Tossing them into the air then cleaving into them with your huge fucking axe. He had a ton of different command grabs and hit real hard. Basically impact is what I look for in a character. I want to FEEL the hits.

Q: Why your characters strategy (set ups, long range normals, mix ups, general offense/defense) and WAS MOST FUN FOR YOU?

A: Well for starters NOBODY played Jade like me when it came to all aspects of the character and that in itself is a great achievement for me. I've been playing Jade since 2004 with Mortal Kombat Deception but I never had as much fun with her in MK9 even though it wasn't 3D anymore she still fit me like a glove like I was born to use this character because she still had almost all the aspects that I loved about her except for the lack of Vanishing Winds.

Q: Specific tech you found with your character that was fun to pull off?

A: I have A LOT!

Q: Character size, mobility?

A: Just right, small female hitbox and just the right mobility.

Q: Weapons/ gadgets the character used and how they utilized them?

A: Loved every single thing. Resets, resets, resets and very pretty resets.

Q: Your characters move set: basic moves, pokes, strings, Cancels, special moves, powers that were most fun for you?

A: As much as everyone likes to shit on my character, I loved everything and used her to her fullest potential. The most fun was easily B2 as it had the most options. I love Shadow Flash/Glow because it made Jade viable against most of the cast and made it easy to gain meter. Shadow/Eclipse Kick was really fun especially double Shadow Kick and getting in against Cyrax and Kabal with full screen Eclipse Kick. Her X-Ray was broke because it could negate most projectiles and was high damage and if used as an ender it could lead to massive damge.

Q: How your character specific tools played footsies/ pressure/ zoning and why it was so fun for you?

A: Everything except for pressure. Jade had a small female hurtbox for footsies that can make her hurtbox it makes certain moves whiff and made her great. Her pressure was lacking but it was good for online in lag because 12 is neutral but in lag it making it plus beyond that could setup some good traps with Shadow Glow into a high damage punish and she gained a lot of meter. Zoning was meh but I liked it due to setups, AAing, mind games & traps also if used in the middle of combos it lead to optimal damage.

Q: Costumes, colors, personality, sex appeal, dialogue, any aesthetic entity of the character that you enjoyed the most and why?

A: I enjoyed everything equally, I do miss the costumes and sex appeal all the female characters had in MK9 and didn't have it again in MKX. Jade is sassy and sexy like she always was in the 3D games and had some of the best lines in the story mode in MK9. I really like the green, black & gold masked costume of that they introduced in MKD and they brought it back for MK9 but changed her hair which was a good change because it looks better but I sometimes miss her MKD/MKA hair though.

Q: Combos and links that were fun for you to perform?

A: I have so many it'll take so long for me to list.
