Coming November 7th, 2017 the Xbox One X, that was announced at E3 this year will be available. The beautiful thing for Injustice 2 players who will have this system? It has been confirmed as one of the console's "enhanced" titles, meaning, Injustice 2 will look better on Xbox One X than any other console. Here's why:

All games look and play great on Xbox One X. But select Xbox One X Enhanced titles are optimized to take full advantage of the world’s most powerful console. Xbox One X unleashes 6 teraflops of graphical processing power, making games perform better than they ever have. Maximize game performance with the speed of 12GB GDDR5 graphics memory, and see every frame with 326 GB/sec memory bandwidth.

Really looking forward to the One X. It will be nice to have a Microsoft console that is as powerful as the PS4 Pro. It makes me even more hype for next years upcoming Microsoft exclusives like Sea of Thieves and State of Decay 2.

I'm very impressed with what MS has done lately for the Xbox One. Great to see that IJ2 will enjoy the benefits of that console. Maybe I will pick that one once MK11 comes out, who knows.

While this is very cool.. and something I may get into.. unless the TOs all switch form Ps4 wouldn't it be a bad idea for competitive players to play on this system. It is going to look different, maybe even have slightly different feel or timing as the frame rate will be different...

I'm just thinking, if the events are ALL on ps4 and the online events are all on PSN Network.. then what exactly is the reasoning to buy the X1? (as an IJ2 player).

If they want to really showcase this then they should run a online event for War of the Gods or hosted at Netherealm Twitch that is only for X1 players... maybe?

For those that don't know, Injustice 2 on PS4 Pro runs at 1440p resolution (no checkerboarding). That means we're at least gonna see a jump from 900p on Xbox One (Standard) to 1440p on the One X. my guess is that they'll probably bump up the resolution a bit more to let's say 1620p or maybe even 1800p on the X.

The Xbox One X is not as powerful as the PS4 Pro. It is much more powerful. I'm not a fan boy but this is very much the case. In any event, I will definitely play the game on both consoles. PS4 for tournaments and the X for performance and beauty.

Peace.

Totally aware of the XB1 X's superiority. I just kept it in terms that console warriors on the PS4 side would not feel as if I murdered a family member and turn this thread into a nerd fight.

Those into online tournaments for Injustice and main fighting games obviously have no reason to buy an XB1. This move to enhance Injustice is because its a hot seller on both consoles, and you can expect more big titles to get the same treatment.

I think we here (tym) forget that competitive players are less than 1% of the sales.

0.2 gHz more clock speed, 4 gb more ram and a bit more GPU is not "much more" tbh, especially considering the system costs a 100 dollars more. We're still talking about systems that can't run modern games and hinder game-development. Really not worth the money.

Tournaments should stay on the most popular and cheap platform tbh, no point spending a lot of money on a console. Performance doesn't mean anything in FG's anyways since they're frame capped.

Many players will still go for the platform the pros are on even tho they don't compete. It feels you're "missing out" if you're on the wrong platform.

The CPU speed is not the factor here. It's the memory bandwidth for transmitting graphic data. Four extra GB of GDDR5 is quite a step up. Just think of the difference between running a PC with 2GB of RAM compared to one running with 6GB. Now multiply that speed difference with the speeds found with GDDR5 vs what you know from DDR3 in the average PC.

I agree with all statements about maintaining the PS4 standard because that is a no-brainer (industry and tournament standard) but I will not deny the truth. I build PC's so trust me, this is not a small difference by a long shot.

Even with this new box, my PS4 use will still be strong. But I will enjoy the extra boost from the XB1X.

Just curious, wasn't the difference in power and specs between the Xbox 360 and PS3 as well as the Xbox One (standard) and PS4 less than this? And yet PS owners never shut up about their superior console.

Yeah, I build pc's too. :D Ok I'll admit it's a step up, but my point was that we are still talking about generally underwhelming performance, compared to what average PC's can push out. Still not up to par what good games would require tbh. IMO the performance boost is not worth the money. The only reason to buy consoles will still be FG's and exclusives.

To be honest I really can't remember details that far back. But the standard models usually "set the starting point" and xbox has usually lost that battle. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a ps guy any more than an xbox guy. I just think it's generally silly to compare specs of 2 very similar underpowered platforms. Performance shouldn't be an factor when you're choosing a console. It's gonna be bad anyways, just pick the one where the community and exclusives are.

I have a PS4 Pro and Injustice 2 has been 'optimized' for that too. Meaning slightly higher resolution and maybe some better textures, but nothing very noticeable. This really changes nothing and definitely isn't a reason to pick up an X over the standard Xbox One or PS4.

But most of the pros will not play you anyway so why look at where they are ? On xbox there are good players too , just not known .

PC gaming is just a fad, like fidgetspinners or oral sex. In a few months, no one will be talking about it.

I own both standard consoles but play on XBox 90 percent of the time...and the XBox One version looks like complete dog shit compared to even the standard PS4 version. There are a lot of reasons for XBox owners to upgrade, a lot of good looking games look shitty on the XB1.
