So does rank actually pair you with people close to you or does it just find you any match?That's because it's Xbox. Almost no serious players are playing on Xbox, because PS4 is the tournament standard.
Most of the top 100 on PSN are tournament/online players you'd recognize -- Sonic, King, Blind Ducky, Bdon, Etc.

I think it's suppose to find you people near your rank but there isn't a huge priority on it like there is on shear speed of match making. So if it starts to take a min to find someone they will just toss anyone at you.
Do you know how the ranking works? I've been matched with people with 50 matches and 500 matches. Seemed random to me.
It tries to pair you with someone close to you in rank -- and then if someone can't be found, it becomes more lenient and pairs you with someone ranked farther away.
