Done with FGC Competitively. So Let's Clear The Air and Teach Some Things

Cashual

PSN: Cansuela
Also btw the whole "top players won't play me", is just another one of those "man the match up is too bad", or "man my character sucks", option selects where you admit you are not good but you place the blame somewhere else.

I could say that I got good or that X player got good without playing Sonicfox 24/7 but then that'll just come off as egotistical. We'll just run in circles.
No, you're exactly right. Where there's a will there's a way.

P.S. I go by cashual1 and Cansuela on various platforms and you and I have had some silly back and forths, but I'd love to play some games if you're up for it.

There's a difference though, once you rank up high enough you'll get matched up with good players consistently a lot of which includes top players. Regardless of how you feel about online players, people in the top 100 are good players for the most part. In call of duty it just randomly matches you up with people, not skill based. It is also a team game which is much different than 1v1 so it has a much different dynamic.
Online rankings are garbage. 40-45% of top 100 (on Xbox) are brand new accounts that are like 200-3 or 129-2. If you play these guys there far from fundamentally sound and just spam teleport or deadshot. Easiest shit in the world. And ranked is not the best place at all to find people who are good. I was 88-94 last week and this week with my superman and deadshot. Half my matches were against dudes less than half my skill, spamming wake up and repeatedly getting punished only to do it again. I'm pretty much a no one. I can still get the match up knowledge I need from talking shit on YouTube comments and king of the hill matches. I'll admit that ranked is all I do and it's why I'm good on the first place. But you have to be pretty good in the first place to pick up any knowledge from ranked. If Inj2 is your first fighting game rather your fast learner or not your straight fucked. If you understand the fundamentals but still don't quite have the dexterity and execution your still pretty fucked. The best way people can see this is having a lot of friends who play the game with you. I only play against a captain cold, a superman, an ivy and a really good grodd when I'm helping friends with mu knowledge. Me and the grodd have played since mk9, tho like most not really evolving until ijgau or mkx. At the start of inj2 we were all equal just about. Now me, the grod and the captain cold are miles above the rest. There is almost no point in going back and playing them. They seam to never get better and we don't gain from the experience of vsing them. It's quite hard for people to get good these days. And that's all folks.

SinkFla

Me: "Man, it's great to see so many top players willing to give games to some randoms. If anyone would be willing to give me some sets that would be great! PSN/XBL is SinkFla."

Tom Brady: "I'm getting on now, so let's do this mang."

Me:

P.S. Just kidding, Tom. Let's do this.

That's because it's Xbox. Almost no serious players are playing on Xbox, because PS4 is the tournament standard.

Most of the top 100 on PSN are tournament/online players you'd recognize -- Sonic, King, Blind Ducky, Bdon, Etc.

P.S. Booo to @Akromaniac27 for knocking me just out of the Top 100 yesterday.. I'll be back :p

1- the FGC isn't to blame at all, has is defects like every community (especially online where pussies and bullied guys irl will trash talk or insult... or skill=power so famous people are treated different.. like in every environment), but if you want to get good simply pick your best pg in ranked and once you get to some top100/200 ps4 start adding strong people. Usually 1 out of 5/10 will result in a nice sparring partner. So in 1 hour a day you can make a new buddy every day.

2- No one cares what you did in mk1965 vietnam edition, in the little time pro players have they search a challenge, not students with past achievements, and you can easily become top world without playing sonicfox, theo & company (eu has proven that many times), if you get a game and impress them i guess they will be happy to play again tho

3- again, idk how u can blame the FGC. To get good you just require individual skill and knowledge, no ability of teamplay or to deal with new situations, no roles to learn or the skill to "be lucky enough to find a decent team" plus the playerbase is very very small. Try to play csgo or lol with millions players per day where u can get to insanely high skill levels after thousand hours spent and still never SEE (let alone play with them like buddies) at all a pro player playing :D

4- travelling in eu is very hard actually, the choice is between 10 hours in car or taking a flight, everything supported by a strong barrier language and then very high prices for tourist in everything. No one ever spend hundreds euros to get couple sets offline in eu, especially with the new netcode that works greatly.

5 dont get mad at some random imaginary online persona or take it personally, move on. If you know you are right in some matter (ie. the black adam vs black adam thing) move on, who cares what some online stranger says to you or if he doesn't treats you like your mom would. It's an harsh world. But also sometimes rethink about yourself and your actions too.

Hope you will rethink on how you approached the community, but if you move on with life even better, good luck

Your brother is a top player king boi if you dont get.. lol
And I guess me (multi top 8s), m2dave (evo medalist and major winner) thtb (multi top 8s) et cetera don't count :(

But seriously he hasn't even been home to play. Him having legecy mains helps a lot to

"The match up is bad"

"People won't play me"

"My character is bad"

These are like the "dog ate my homework" excuses of fighting games.
Pretty true. I'm not sure when tier lists became so important.

THE MU DOES NOT MATTER U LESS YOU ARE PLAYING AT THE HIGHEST POSSIBLE LEVEL.

Like it or not 95% of the site is casuals. I bet less than 5% of the members ever traveled or made it out of pools.

Bc if this I wish mods would immediately close down these nerf and buff threads

I understand ppl lose and blame mu's, but to say the mu doesn't matter unless you're playing the highest level is drastic.

I played on both for awhile but do changes with my house and people moving out i lost the PS4. It really isnt much different on either side. There may be a few more actually good players in top 100 but there are still a hefty amount of fresh accounts of deadshot spammers and what not. Xbox still has really good players on it and on top of that a lot of people have PS4 and Xbox to do both tournaments (most Xbox tournaments are online but there are still out there). So you will see crossovers. Right now probably not as much since there is plenty of fresh content for ps4. But when I justice as starts dying down. You will see tons of people play both for the tournaments. It happened in mkx as well

In MKX ESL started on Xbox, but in Injustice 2 almost none of the top players play on Xbox at all.

It's a night and day difference. People who take the game seriously aren't going to spend time playing ranked on Xbox.

I mean, you can look at the names on both and it kind of speaks for itself. I'm not really sure this was an opinion-based matter.

Gotta agree with Crimson on this one. I would be hard-pressed to find top players on the XB1 leader boards that weren't also on PS4. The few competitive players that only have XB1 either compete exclusively offline and have adapters for their XB1 controllers, or are simply saving to buy a PS4.

I didn't say it was opinion I just meant that there was no point in keeping this going. I presented multiple points you stuck to one of those I presented my counter argument to that and you came back with the same thing. The conversation isn't going anywhere.

Most conversations on this website don't lead anywhere. I feel like this had at least the potential to have somewhat of a discussion.

Anyone on this site isn't casual. If you believe that it's 95%, you have no idea what casual actually means. Traveling or making it out of pools isn't what makes you casual or not.

Casual players may never play a single match online. Play the story and mess around with a friend or something. That's casual. Playing for hours a day, long sets, looking at frame data, etc are not casual.

They might not be competing, but 95% of the people on this site sure as hell aren't playing casually.

Casual just means someone who plays casually or takes it casually. You can attend tournaments and still be casual. A lot of people on this website are definitely casuals I don't know about 95% but I'm sure we all can understand what an exaggeration is. There are many different ways someone can be casual. It just depends if they play casually or takes it casually, as if it was any other game no big deal. Casuals could play 40 hours a week but still be just as bad as they were when they started playing 50 weeks in just because they don't care. They have fun playing casually. Rather that means they know combos or not or understands frame data. It's quite annoying when people go to correct someone else only to be wrong.
