What's the current state of Captain Cold

Cold is straight up mid tier. Struggles against some, can body others. Bad MUs basically consist of those who can stop him from charging trait.

Edit: Oh and WW is not a bad MU for Cold. Allow her to throw shield, chargeafter blocking, its -33 for her on block or -20 something for mb. She bodies Cold until he pops trait once.

If you have the screen to play with, you can also throw down puddle and retreat. Same strategy as rushdowns, just with more screen space required.

I don't think there's a single character in the game who doesn't. Catwoman, Adam, and Aquaman have been dead as solo characters for weeks. No one else (top ten) has ever even applied, except maybe Superman.

I think supergirl 5-5's most of the cast or wins, she doesn't have any really bad matchups.

She might lose to some but it's not like, an unwinnable 7-3 or anything. Black Adam can also beat the whole cast, so can deadshot.

Uh, you can beat the cast via a 5-5 or 6-4?

I do win.

What I meant was that Adam, Supergirl and Deadshot's worst matchups are 5-5.

Has some good matchups. Used as a utility character. Viable in tournament vs the right characters like the entire cast

Cold does VERY well against Batman in my experience. Batman cannot lame out against him and he gets plenty of time to trait up. Cold can also wall an advance with bats on reaction or read and win the trade. Plus the amazing d2... He has options. I would take that MU every time.

Supes is difficult but not awful. Your neutral basically looks like convincing Superman that his only zoning option is air laser, then charging trait. From there, it's a walk to the corner or a MB roll for a free combo. The trickiest part for me is his air mobility, which negates some of lvl 2 trait's utility even in the corner. However, that can be chased down. Also, a wall'd air laser in the globe can be punished.

Adam is just tough for everyone lol. But hey, his wakeup is kinda meh, so at least there's that.

Lol no offense to him, but Sonic don't know what he's talking about. Summer Jam showed that he struggles/loses to Ivy. Like I said, anyone who can threaten his time charging trait.

cold is high tier either A or A+ afk

Seemed like he figured it out enough to force semijj back to Catwoman tho.

Top 10 in the right hands. Mid tier to most of the community.

In my opinion Cold is in a good place. He will struggle in some MUs, absolutely. But ultimately a character that has all the tools to be viable in the current meta against anyone.

What about after the reset? Sonic was all Cold and Semij switch back to Catwoman?

Anyone notice how against Ivy he was advancing while throwing projectiles? That's the way it's done... Against literally every character that zones him except Deadshot.
