But wouldn't you expect someone who has a lot of experience using their character to know what they're talking about? At least more so than someone who doesn't use a character saying they're better than the people who actually use that character says they are? Probably it's not the same advantage as being in their face but no way in hell he is at disadvantage, he can still walk forward into F2 and I bet it would beat some pokes or just use those + frames for something else.
