The last patch on MKX Alien went from #1 to bottom 5 so idk. You act like everything is black and white when it's not.

Supergirl already has damage. Downplayers are real.

But its made by the same people, who ultimately decide the nerfs and buffs. That argument doesn't even make sense. "Its not mortal kombat so therefore characters can't be nerfed or buffed in the same fashion as that game" ...what?

the thing here is you just dont know very much about injustice or what it is. if you did then it would make perfect sense. theyre Superheroes with pre established abilities and expectations. NRS isnt gonna make captain cold better than superman and batman, its not going to happen. you dont have to believe me but aquaman being stupid good wasnt an accident, they literally said it with the first game. this mindset doesnt seem to exist with MK.

This is what's hampering me from having a legitimate discussion about this. You seem so convinced that you're right that it feels like there's little point to saying anything that doesn't agree with your buff suggestions.

If you want to have a good discussion, you have to allow yourself to change your opinion instead of disagreeing with anyone with a different view. For instance, JDM seems to be the only one you agree with in this thread, who is also the only one who thinks GL needs buffs besides you.

and because JDM is the only high level GL player who actually posted in this thread. orochi is too nice to ask for buffs but he even said one fix would be nice.

Btw I don't think GL is in dire need of change. Not everyone has to be top 10 potential, there's always gonna be characters who are not. That said, GL doesn't have the same matchup problems he did in the first game. Not to say that he beats top tier or anything, but it's not like Inj1 where he got bodied in more than a couple matchups.

If anything had to change, it'd be making 2231 +2 to make his offense more consistent vs the cast. And that is pretty much it.

I said I dont think superman is as good as people say he is because people still dont know the mu and try to poke with their 7f d1s where they shouldnt. I played injustice 1, mkx, and now injustice 2 at a high level, so I dont need to hear this bullshit from a rando, but I thought I'd, as a lantern main, tell you how he doesnt need these buffs. Now please, continue to dismiss those with different opinions as you and build your echo chamber.

Its not like I'd say no to a buffed lanterns might. That'd be fucking stupid considering I MAIN Lantern. But this idea that hes a mediocre character right now, bottom 10, is factually incorrect and needs to go, seeing as literally no one agrees with you. You dont have to play lantern to realize that he's not exactly struggling right now.

So you think GL is on WW's level? This isn't really an accurate comparison. Have you taken a look through @Juggs Top 10 thread? Have you seen how many people are putting GL in the top 15 area? And how many, by comparison, are considering WW for that?

I see and understand your point about players being "more nuanced" with their character than others, but it's only half the story because you're only seeing it from one side of the equation.

Nobody wants GL to be shitty, so please stop acting like everyone wants GL to NOT be good in this game. The general consensus doesn't seem to be that he needs buffs (even among GL players). A lot of players agree that he could use a tweak here or there, a QoL fix here or there. What people have issue with (besides FM's weird point of view that he's always right and anybody else is wrong) is the fact that some GL players want him buffed before seeing the nerfs to some of his bad mu's that are obviously coming.

The goal is balance, not tier swapping.
