Question Will MK11 be a Legacy Game?

What's everyone's opinion on MK11 having legacy character move sets?
Like obviously there will be Scorpion, Liu Kang, Johnny Cage, etc, but what do you guys think about them having very similar movesets from MKX? and I don't mean their special moves in particular, they will always have the same specials, I mean specifically their combo strings.

Injustice 2 is the first time NRS seems to have done a legacy style of game. Personally I'm not a fan, seeing a whole new reworked Aquaman, Superman, and Batman would have been awesome, it would've made the game feel a lot newer and exciting, but each to their own.

Street Fighter, and Tekken bring out new versions that remain legacy every time, and there seems to be no complaints.

Anyways, would like to know everyone's thoughts.

Injustice 2 will be big for 2 more years why even talk about mk11 lol. Anyways I think that they should be different.

I like legacy, as long as it is limited to the poster boys.

I gotta say though, I didn't like MKX's design for JC, SZ and LK nearly as much as MK9's one.

Injustice 2 is fun but I prefer the MK series, I'm already waiting lol

I suspect it will be legacy, yes. The question is, which variations will survive? Or they will make a mixture of them?

Time will tell. Legacy is potentially better for balance, but a completely new game allows everybody to learn at the same time, so...

Right, they will probably make some variations legacy and some new ones.

Kenshi balanced is a variation I expect to return for example, possessed not so much.

Personally I just want a variation for Shing that focuses on his soul steal, perhaps making the EX version of the move stun for a combo as the enemy character. Imagine the lab time, imagine the possibilities...

I personally would love to see the Variations back, and I think it will be 2 Variations per character rather then 3, with every returning character has one returning Variation and one that is completely new. That way every returning character can both have a legacy moveset and new one at the same time.

Paulo admitted variation system was a terrible idea. I highly doubt it comes back.

Maybe in the form of gear moves...

I'd like a new version of Sub in MK 11, especially considering he's pretty much the same in I2. 6 years of the same moveset is a bit too much for me personally. So I'd like Legacy to be just an Injustice thing.

I wasn't a fan of variations either, so I hope they don't come back.
