Yea it can even low profile his straight projectile (not sure about the mb beam tho?) it just kinda goes through cw's head lol

So since there does not seem to be any MU thread for cw (aside that tech thread) Ill just go ahead and post it here

I played a rather long set against a GL yesterday and the MU seemed pretty bad for cw..
It felt like GLs b1 basically destroys every aspect of cw's neutral game.. It low profiles jumpins and b2, it constantly beat out my b3 attempts (something that I was not used to lol) and it basically beat any other string that would normally be great in neutral (I'm looking at u f112, y u let me down).. Also GL can harass with projectiles so the MU became kinda annoying for me.. Either I stayed out of b1 range and ate projectiles (I punished some with catdash to be fair) or I tried to get in and would either be beat out by b1 like 75% of the time or the dude would just mb b3 himself.. I just couldn't really find a reliable way to get in. I took a couple games but it was quite a struggle.. The ONLY thing that I saw GL struggled with against cw was her damage cuz his is not great to say the least.. But if I can't land a solid hit that's not helping much lol
So my questions are:
Has anyone else had problems with GL? Was the other dude a god? Do I simply suck and should stop playing? And PLEASE has anyone good and reliable tips besides 'be patient & wait for an opening' cuz believe me I tried

There's a gap between B12 and B13. You can evade cancel into cat scratch to punish him. And if he is staggering B1, you can punish B1 clean with Rising Claws for a full combo. Just keep in mind to space him out, and don't rush in or you will lose that battle as with most matches, its a play of patience game.

I've had matches against Rebelo and DJT enough to know its not a bad match-up. Its at the very least 5-5 like most of her other match-ups. Although, I'd love to play Gross sometime, maybe at Evo.

To clarify I don't think the MU is horrible actually, GL just gave me some problems that I was not expecting. Clearly I need to get more used to the MU, I was exaggerating for comedic effect.

The options u mentioned will be helpful but I honestly don't think the MU is 'at least 5-5' .. It might not be as much of an issue as I made it out to be but it's one of CW's rare MUs where she can get outfootsied well. I won't go so far to say its a 6-4 or smth but green lantern can definitely give her problems.

Also 'just keep in mind to space him out' is not a good tip, I'm sorry. Spacing him out is basically the biggest challenge in the MU and that's just one of those things u can say about most MUs.

It's worth noting that Green Lanterns wall isn't fully invincible, his backdash goes nowhere and he doesn't have a 6f mid.

I think trying to win certain match-ups by outfootsieing your opponent is the wrong approach

Ur definitely right about that, but being able to play footsies well is crucial to CW's gameplan imo. I guess I'm also just used to being able to outfootsie opponents with CW, against GL I apparently need to approach differently than I'm used to . My main point originally was (maybe through all the exaggeration this was unclear lol), that GL hinders CW from using her usual go-to-tools pretty well, something that I was not used to in this manner. It's actually an interesting MU, I feel it creates a need to stray more from her basic gameplan than most other matchups :)

It's really annoying, I even saw Semiij drop it over the weekend at CEO.

Yeah the Timing is very strict.
You have to Delay the Second one.
I do it so lately, that i think it will whiff but it doesnt :p
F3 After b3, i have more Problems with.

Guys, what do you use for poking / pressure game up close?

Her 112 starts with a high, f1 has a 16frame startup.
Even if my d1 poke connects, up close i don't know what to follow it up with.
I get poked out of every single string i tried. Is it my timing or is she just vulnerable to pokes?
D1 on hit jails standing one. You have to be quick

It is a String not guaranteed After a jip1 like jip2?
Maybe i am too slow :p
ji1 doesn't jail into standing 1. If someone is poking a lot after a blocked ji1 I start using 2,du. It's plus on block

D1 on hit, use your mids. S2 or S3. Personally, I like S3. Or go balls to the wall and D1~clawryuken/trait :p

*edit* - J1 DOES jail into S1 btw.
I tested the j1 into standing 1 on batman with reversal back dash on and it's not jailing. I'm trying to do it really deep, but it's not working. How do I jail it?

I tested against Superman but results should still be the same. There's a timing to it but once you get it down, it's not hard at all. Try inputting JI1,1 as a string without a pause.

It works on Supes with a deep j1, but not Batman. Must be the body type or stance design because Batman's 112db2mb wiffs on some characters who are ducking, but not supes and a few others. They have to hold it.

Hmm. I'll test it again when I get home vs him as well as vs some of the other better backdashes in the game.

*edit* - @YoungTeezy 305 , works just fine on Batman. Just a matter of how deep you're hitting the J1. Can also jail on crossup.

What do you guys think about the Robin Match-Up?
Just played a long set with a really good Robin and it feels in his favour.
You really can't jump on him his d2 is godlike, and even at max range J2 he can just step back and whiff punish you with his b2.
It's really hard to get anything going since he can realistically just keep you away from him.
I started winning a few games by going in and backdashing to make him whiff since his strings seem to have a bit of recovery, but even then he can start jumping in and I think it's his j3 or J2 is impossible to anti-air lol.
Was a really frustrating match-up.

Robin has no real pressure.
He is almost minus on Everything.
I Think Cat have to outplay him with Patience.
And you can punish his db2 mb (the Combo starter) on Block.
Cause there is a gab and you can Start with s1.

Yea unless your character has really bad range on his normals and no projectile I dont think Robin will be a problem.. Hes on sonicfox' Tier list however, I guess he might be great in the right hands but hes not giving many characters trouble imo. Cw should do just fine against him, the other player mustve just played the mu well :)

Bruh.
Maybe u shoulve tried going in less and whiff punishing him on his advances.. Fullscreen u can easily catevade his projectiles & build Meter and scratches, so once he comes in u can go for full damage.
