Can anyone confirm if (and what) frame data was corrected in the moves list? I've seen so much inconsistency and innaccuracy.

I can say for sure that arrows b23 string now has the correct cancel advantage. It use to read something like 54 but now it's around the mid 20's.

I would argue it's 2017, about time u wifi junkies start using quality connections

Your day is done
I would argue wireless is now more the norm than not. Everywhere you go, there is WiFi, and it's getting to the point where there is almost no difference in quality between wired and wireless. Not quite yet, but almost. Game companies should keep up with the times. I already have a web of cords for all my game consoles and my TV, plus the modem and the router cords, etc. I don't want to add one more cord.

I'll grant you that at this point in time, wired is a little more reliable, and for a fighting game where split second decisions are required, yes, for competitive play wired is probably preferable. For casual players like myself though, WiFi or not it makes no difference. I've had plenty of good connections matches in MKX over the last two plus years.

That's good.

I thought I was going crazy in the lab. Either Swamp Thing and Darkseid's normals are much slower than they are listed, or all these wakeup attacks are safer than the frame data says.

What do you mean you reliably have 50-100ms ping?

Also, ping showing up as "good" isn't the issue. Good internet connections will show up as a good. The problem is three minutes later when it spikes 385ms for 10 seconds and then goes back to 60ms.

You get this in MKX a lot... You get matched with somebody in ranked without the option to decline because the connection looked good for a few seconds. Then after you connect, you can barely navigate the select screen. Not all are that bad, but that's not the point. It matched you with a "good" connection and it was actually shit.
If other users on the local network max out the ISP connection speed you can get the lag spike just as well.. being hardwired doesn't 100% prevent lag spikes. Lag can come from the service provider as well. Being hardwired is not the end all, be all to providing lag free games.

Ok this is a huge misconception. Wi-Fi is not a primary reason why fights can become laggy and ping spikes occur. They are many reasons why this can happen. Even on a wired connection lag spikes occur and this can be due to issues with ISP, high traffic demand, bad wiring etc.

We are in 2017 and they are incredible sophisticated top notch wireless routers. The world has moved from wired to wireless. Wi-Fi connections can at times even be better than wireless.

Now don't come at me accusing me because I actually have both setups (wireless and wired) because I live in two different houses during the week.

I am positive this new indicator is also going to prove my point. So don't be surprised when the fight is completely laggy and you wan't to blame it on wireless and notice that your opponent is actually wired.

Lol this thread is a trip. First, it's if you don't play on ps4 you're a noop. Now it's if you don't get on wired you're a noop. Lol I spent a pretty penny on an xbox1 and on premium internet to make sure I'm as good as good now if I don't go spend $400+ on a ps4 a controller adapter or fightstick, cuz I hate ps4 control, and buy a long ass wire or a couple shorts, even though I have 2 extenders 30' separated from gateway already, I'm outcast before I can turn my head. I sure as hell don't want the wires running through my crib but I guess that'll mean I can go downgrade my internet cost. Evil laugh nyuk nyuk nyuk.. though I remember playing mk9 and injustice on wired and UNPLAYABLE. my net feels flawless with this game, but if it'll help appease people I'll get my wire. Grrrr
This is probably the worst post I've ever read on TYM since 2011

I'm not gonna lose sleep over people being morons and crying about "no one will give me games because I'm wireless"

Sorry bud it's 2017
Stay in your bubble, bud.

Just don't complain that TYM is in bad shape when you alienate a good percentage of the community with ignorant ass posts.

To be fair, this thread was aimed at tournament folk and pros and not casuals. While it is a bit witch hunt-y, the point of this thread had nothing to do with casuals.

Let's make sure the system actually works before we burn people at the stake.
Orrrrr, we could not burn people at the stake. Seriously guys, there's a way to raise awareness about wired vs Wi-Fi that doesn't involve treating people on Wi-Fi like subhuman caste.

EDIT: And does this actually surprise anyone that the system isn't working? Come on, it's NRS. It took them how many years to switch to a decent net code? It took them how long to make simple, obvious balance changes to safe armored launchers in MKX?

No, what I am saying is game companies should design their games so they work fine for WiFi as well as wired, because wireless Internet is only going to become more prevalent. If they don't keep that in mind, they'll end up alienating people. That's why I am not sure how I feel about this new feature in Injustice 2. It has the potential to exclude people and create a kind of second class citizens mentality in the FGC.

As a software developer I can tell you that when you design software, which is what a game is, you design for the lowest acceptable common denominator. So that means, game companies should set some low limit of acceptable upload/download speed and design for that. And then maybe have some competitive mode for you guys running online tournaments, with higher acceptable speeds.

Anybody is free to choose who they play with. If somebody doesn't want to give me games because I am on WiFi, that's perfectly fine. What matters to me is how the connection is, WiFi or no WiFi. WiFi doesn't automatically mean lower upload/download speeds. If somebody has low ping, I am not going to play with them, doesn't matter to me if they have wired or wireless Internet.

Went through pain in azz of running cable through attic and rechecking net stats everything stayed the same other than my dl speed which went way up from 50 to 111mbps. Latency still in 30s at 32 and packet loss still 0. proving Wi-Fi can be good for gaming. you guys just paranoid. At least i dont have the wifi icon now. So hopefully i wont get declined so much.

All I know is I remember your connection from mk9 and it was ass

Makes sense now

We'll burn you all—that is your fate!
I see hella people preaching about their "godlike" wifi and how they don't need wired. If you are willing to pay 100+a month to be able to download porn and watch Netflix at the same time you should be able to afford spending 10 bucks on a 100ft Ethernet cable. Jesus.

With Powerline Adapters there's really no excuse not to be using a Wired connection.
Yes, there is. It doesn't work for everyone. In some cases, it's actually -worse- to use them. Not everyone's house has the same type of wiring, which is what Powerline Adapters use to function.
