Fut-SEAS....OF BLOOD!
If you guys haven't seen it
Now THAT'S a custom costume I can get behind. GGs to whoever put that one together (I'm assuming that's not an official Dark Souls costume option, but a fan-made nod to that game.) Unfortunately for Jin, his Dad wrecks him in that video.

(Side note: I love Kazuya's DF1, 4. I see it in combos all the time and it seems like a staple of the character to me. That move alone is badass, imo).

As far as the second video, I'm not too familiar with Jin's movelist yet, so it's all Greek to me.

Actually that's a Jin unlockable costume, its original from the story mode, the hooded guy in the desert you've seen in trailers is Jin, and from what a guy was saying, the costume name is called "Dark Souls" lol

When Jin does an Eletric Wind Hook Fist he screams "Gah" but in the vid he is screaming "yeheto" which means feel the fury, while doing it, he takes a huge step in while doing it and the move launches fullscreen like his T5 EWHF that could wall splat even when distant from it.

his CDS stance has mad range and in this vid in particular he is able to come off the stance with eletrics which is impossible.

If he has access to this new eletric in game, this will give him some unique combos with even more damage, since its an eletric for enders, covers a lot of range, its super dumb.

Is their a dedicated discord set up for Tekken 7 for TYM heads?

Cant wait to get my hands on T7 so stoked for it, already got it preordered on steam. Couldnt get Inj2 cause i dont have a ps4 anymore.

After reading fergus guide I will pick up Asuka Kazama and Akuma. Asuka is an easy and defensive character. Akuma looks cool to me and he has a projectile. I like projectile based chars. I am also thinking of buying for the pc also. Right now my laptop cant play any games but I will built a pc in a month or two(hopefully). The deluxe edition is as expensive as the standard for consoles :). Who else is going to get Tekken 7 for pc?

Believe in the hop kick
While standing moves are used to punish blocked lows and ducked highs. They are also used to punish certain mids that force you into crouching state that are unsafe. Most of these have an obvious "2D FG overhead" animation where the attack is directed vertically downwards. These include Heihachi's df1,2, Bryan's f4,1, Alisa's uf4,4 etc. Certain attacks also transition the attacking character into a crouching state, such as Jack's db1. Some staggering lows can be punished harder if you crouch cancel by tapping up during blockstun, then timing your standing punisher. You can also dash forward to get out of crouch. Crouch cancel punishment in general requires practice as the crouch cancel adds at least 2 frames to the start-up of your chosen move but this depends on your execution.

Most moves that have pushback on block but are unsafe are -17 or worse, Heihachi's fF2 is an exception at -16, although some characters can still punish it, like

Heihachi himself: qcf2
Feng: Shoulder (doesn't reach at max range)
King: New Armor King f2,1 (whiff at tip range on first hit)
Paul: Shoulder or just frame version of fF2,1 strict on close block only (not worth attempting to punish with these IMO)
Bob: uf1+2,1+2, fF2 (strict)
Jin: f4, fF2 (strict)
Kazuya: human form fF2 (consistent and should be attempted most of the time)
Bryan: fF2 (consistent and should be attempted most of the time)
Law: b2,2 or 3+4,4 into a full launch at close range (damn this move is now stupid)
Miguel: df3,2 (first hit whiffs at tip range but always worth attempting really because the 2nd hit comes out fast enough and is a safe mid that will do the butt flop CH animation that must be tech rolled)
Devil Jin: fF2 (strict) or f3+4 (first hit whiffs at max range)
Jack: f1+2 (once again whiff at tip range)
Josie: uf3+4 (first hit will whiff at max range if this move is identical to Bruce's)
Dragunov: b3 and fF2 (strict) neither won't reach at tip range

Multiple characters are incapable of punishing Heihachi's fF2. Best way to test is to record Heihachi doing a backdash cancelled into another one, then the fF2 so it will make contact at tip range to a neutral block when standing still at the default position. If you tap back once when the recorded sequence is playing, the move is going to whiff, if you tap forward once and block the move makes contact inside max range. Redo the recording until you find this range then test with your chosen character.

Today was a day of messing with Kazumi. She seems very straight forward with mostly in your face poking game and an interesting wall splatting throw. She also has that nice Mishima 1,1,2 jab.

On the other hand her gameplan is very simplistic, dmg output seems very low also she kinda struggle with WS punishes (didnt find anything worth using beyond ws4,4).

Overall she seems to be on the weaker side (my first impressions), which is a shame coz i quite enjoyed messing with her.

Next stop - Nina.

She is a lockdown char, and that's exactly her weakness you figured out very quickly.

Ppl are start noticing changes in console version, i'm updating these i collate info:

Gigas
DB2 is now -14 (it used to be launch punishable)

Leo
B14 is now more linear and easily steppable (yay fucking nerf)

Edit:

Nina F1+2 pushback on block reduced now opponent stays up close.
F1+2 is still -14 on block (insert eletrics here)

Edit 2:
Miguel
Given float juggles (similar to nina's wall carry) with db2 loops
(info being collated...)

I'm in the Tag 2 Lab in these final days, before Tekken 7 comes out and yesterday, I had a very productive session with Leo Kliesen.

I spent (roughly) about 2 to 2 1/2 hours with her and at first, I was just messing around and seeing what I could figure out. I ran through her standing moves, her down-forward moves, her hop kick and her while standing moves, and then I had a spot of intuition. I instinctively tried B1, 42 and was delighted when it worked. Her Bajiquan martial arts style is so distinctive, and a pleasure to watch honestly, and I had seen her do that string in combos, constantly. Since the Tekken button layout mirrors the human limbs, I wasn't really that surprised when I correctly guessed the command of that string, but it was still a good feeling.

Anyway, I did go through her move list (about 91 entries, iirc). I performed all but the Sample Combos and I tried to commit some of her kit to memory, and I'm sure I succeeded in doing that. It's encouraging to know that I can move most, if not all of this stuff over to T7FR Day 1 and hit the ground... jogging, at the very least.

Way back in the day, as a very young man and filthy casual, I had my hands on Tekken 3 and it was all about the Hellsweeps and the Lightning Uppercuts and the individual strings. I'm sure I did a little bit of juggling off of an imperfect God Fist here and there, but as you can imagine, none of that was optimal. So advanced juggling and bound moves and the general feel of the gravity in the game is new to me, and something I'm going to have a bit of fun with in trial and error tinkering.

Before I attempted any Sample Combos, I pulled off a little 6 hit juggle on my own, while I was experimenting.

Hop Kick (U4), Down-Back 2, 2 (Bound Move), Dash>Cancel into B1, 42.

It's a start! :)

Just watched footage of T7 at Combo Breaker. Seeing high level Dragunov has me hype. Has he changed much since T6? I didn't follow Tag2 much.

Im actually surprised that Kazumi is so high, i thought yesterday she is really underwhelming.

Also im messing today with Nina and she seems exactly the same archetype as Kazumi (in your face) but way better. Wall carry with her is insane (that fucking butterfly move is bonkers) + she got amazing throw game. Also her dmg output seems to be very high. Her backdash seems to have some interesting properties.

Her only weakness which i can see so far is the same as Kazumi - really lacking in space control department, no keepout moves. So its pretty much in your face or bust. Not my style of a character but she seems pretty good.

Next stop - Asuka.

I second this. Not sure what I'm missing here, but Nina definitely seems like an "i do what you do but better" version from everything I have seen. I'll see if I change my mind when I'm playing but it's one of the first things I thought of too.

Immortal is exploring lockdown chars, Niner has the best wall carry in the game tied with lee tho.

Asuka is more footsie based and she is easier to play as well.

Asuka is the most underrated in the game imo. She's gotten some improvements that kinda are under the radar. Always had a solid defensive game. Damage is higher. I don't think she's top 5 or anything, but I don't think she's as bad as some people say in this version.

Fergus said she is close or really top 10.
