Atrocitus Combo Thread; "I WILL GRIND YOU INTO DUST"

I haven't been the most vigilant when it comes to updating the thread, but I shall do so tommorrow! Combo Breaker and me wanting to spend some more time with Injustice 2 was the cause of it. Be on the lookout for a bit of a cleanup!

Do u use the drain often? I feel like it's not that easy to set up and u lose it so quickly that it's barely ever worth going for...? I sometimes use it when I have a big lifelead and feel like there's nothing to lose just for the heck of it lol
I used to finish combos with 111-DB3.
111 gives a HDK and you are so close so blood drain dmg is guaranteed and also if you throw you have a full drain.

Anyone know how to get the trait charge bar to show up?
Sounds like you need to zoom your screen out. My buddy did the same thing. For some reason the arrows they use to mark the screen move in and out. Just make sure they are at the edge of the screen when they are out all the way

Should I add the drain combos? I feel they are pretty inferior while comboing due to lower damage and gravity scaling shenanigans, but decent for pressure.

I just did 111xxMB Drain B3 J2 111xxRage Charge for 491.96 to Grodd and 443.06 to Superman.

The damage range is from 443.06 to 577.52

Yea I noticed the damage is pretty good compared to bloodnado.. I just don't really like that u need to set it up first and u basically have to I open up the opponent again to combo off of it, especially since the timewindow is fairly small and it goes away if u get hit.. I'll try to incorporate it some more and find some ways to make it work for my playstyle :)

I love about atrocitus that people play him quite differently overall

It's not too difficult to set up.

What I usually do is

~starter~ with dexstar out. 223, nado, f4 or 4, db3, 223 mb nado f3 d2 and you can either go for b233 or 22 or 11, bf1 or bf2 your choice. The damage is pretty significant and you can still choose to not pop the mb for db3 because he's taking all that tasty health.

I also use it for pressure like f123 loops added with dexstar f4 you remain pretty safe except for push block but I've been trying to mb it on reaction. It's extremely right but it's worked a few times.

Also you should be using drain when dexstar is not out. Especially against those who have the habit of constantly going in and opening themselves up. Just that little bit of tick damage while your blocking exposes the gab to mb or throw.

Drain also if I remember stacks. I could be wrong but I'm sure it does. For throws and block pressures. For your combos and especially for your bf2 & df2 both mb and not. It's great to use with dexstar d4 up close because the animation let's him stand there getting that free damage for you to choose to go for his f223 nado & mb drain which also sends the opponents higher the mb nado so there's some really damn good options for db3.

Also it +1 on start up so yeah use It!

I was wondering if anyone has found anything better to connect dexstar b233 with besides nado, bf3 or his bf2 restand.

I've lucked out with 22, 111, f223 when I'm within range but mostly dexstar pushes or spaces them further from Atrocitus to connect anything meaningful.

Using bf1 is just a waste and I think it leaves opportunity & damage left on the table. Hitting 4 right after b233 on recovery seems to all but end any attempts to get nado since the character is so low to the ground.
It's good corner carry and solid for his footsies, pokes and stuffing Oki and applying pressure. But I wonder if anyone else has found any more uses.

I'm also referring to his mid screen game not his corner game.

I saw tekken master going for up & straight vomit a lot at combo breaker.. He used it in midscreen and in the corner instead of going for other enders. My question is: is the dot really so significant that it's worth going for all the time instead of other enders?? The damage from the combo itself is a lot lower than ending in bf1

Yes because it gives you added damage at the end of the combo itself. Both bf2 & df2 gives you added damage. Mix in db3 if you have it activated you've just basically took close to 50% or more of your opponents life bar in one combo.

Depending on how you started it and where on the screen you are on.

Have you tried dashing, shield, 22 nado? So it would like this with Dex out. B223, small dash, Shield, 22 NADO.

Yep. It's strict. It can work but only against half the cast. Anyone in or around Batman sprite and under it wiffs. It's definitely a hitbox issue. Female characters hitboxes rule in nrs games.

Also d1, sweep and even doing b233 dash f4, f4 or 4 into b233 tends to wiff half the time.

Yes. Hope everyone realizes you can loop the b223 twice & his 233 with dexstar out in one nado before mb it or really mb db3 which is far more important to do but that's for another post.

Mid screen game with b233 is good but I know it can be better.

I find mashing 4 after b233 lands a jugle trait ball. Allowing a nado or strictly timed f223.

I only use f4 trait as the juggler in the corner, as the above tech won't work near the sides of the map

Haven't even tried the f4 dash.

Hello everyone! I hope this helps anyone, I'm pretty bad at fighting games (MKX was my first) so I typically copy what good players do, I also learn better by seeing it written down. So I've gone through a lot of TekkenMaster's games from Combo Breaker and tried to write down strings. Most are full strings but some are written down because of the sick block pressure I saw him doing, those are listed in the "Misc" section. I have linked most of the strings as well, you can click the timestamp, and shoutout to TheHackingFreak for the youtube compilation. I wasn't able to remember all the timestamps unfortunately but the strings should still work. Let me know if I didn't get some correct, and in a couple of days there are some questions I have about some strings, hope this helps!

@Daemantalo There's a few combos you should probably update the OP with:

Midscreen meterless:
F123 Air Charge
D2 D1 ender

Corner meterless:
D2 DF2 D1 111 ender
F3 D2 BF2 D1 111 ender

Midscreen with trait:
B233 4 F223 db1 4 charge

What's happening everybody? I've been recently messing around with Dex-Starr lately and I can't believe I haven't been using Hate Pounce (D4) in my combos it's basically a free meter burn Rage Charge at the end of combos. If you have Dex-Starr out I recommend you end the combo with Hate Pounce instead of Rage Charge.

Thought this is a given. Rage charge is good and it's basically what everyone expects. Dexstars d4 and f4 are super nice. Plus d4 gives you time to calm down and set up your opponents for more conditioning.

Dexstar is the ultimate side kick to a already awesome character.

Yea it's a good tool! I would like to point out that using d4 as a ender for combos that have alot of gravity scaling will not work.

I actually don't use it that often, which is a shame since I like being able to think about my next move for a second :) can u combo it off of df1 at some point of the move?
