Hey my friends. Recently i started working with LaTex and came to the following idea. It would be nice to collect combos from each character in a bundled pdf.

This allows easy and fast access to Combos when searching them for a character.
So i started an Open Source GitHub LaTex Project.

https://github.com/WamZlay/Injustice2ComboList

If you want to Contribute there are some rules (For Collaboration Access let me know your github Account) :

ALL COMBOS HAVE TO BE DONE IN COMPETITIVE MODE (To ensure Approximately dmg)

There has to be a notation for the specific character you wrote the combos down for.

Specials have to be with @SpecialButtons@. This allows syntax highlighting of Specials

For Example : Reptilian Dash = @bf2@

Damage has to be Specified approximately (for example ~180 DMG)

If you want me to add Combos please follow my syntax :

1,2,3,4 = Square,Triangle,X,Circle
b,f,d,u = back,forward,down,up
fd,bd = forwarddash, backdash
J1,J2,J3,J4 = jump attacks
xx = Specialcancel
BC = Bounce Cancel
WB = Wall Bounce = Interactible
T = Trait
XRay = XRay

A Final Combo Should Look like this :

B1 xx WB B3 J3 B2 xx @df1b 2@ 221+3 = 440

Where df1b= Leap(Close) and 2 determines the button which has to be pressed while in the air (Grodd Leap)

Also i need to know which character and which section of the character the combo has to go.

For Example : Sub Zero 2 Metered - Trait

I hope you guys like the idea and would be glad to get help by the test your might community

Cheers

The universal syntax sounds like a good idea, but I'm not sure about the notation for specials. Looking at your example, alright Reptilian Dash is @RD@. However, I always remember specials by their inputs (like BF2 in this case). It's a situation like this":

"Okay what is RD?" "That's Reptilian Dash." "Okay what is Reptilian Dash? "BF2." "Ah alright I know the move you're talking about."

I don't know how many people remember specials by their name as opposed to their inputs, but on TYM I think most people prefer the input notation.

Also, and this is probably a personal thing, I prefer using FF or BB instead of FD or BD for forward dash and backdash respecively. But of course I don't speak for the whole community.

Pretty sure those like, day 2 Grodd combos I put out on the combo list thread are way off now. New shit has been discovered that changed every combo he had including his bnb.

Well i don't want to look at every linked video. The plan was to take text which already exist. This will fasten up things a lot. Let me know if you have more combos etc.. I'll also edit my own when i have some time

If you can get someone to develop a phone app for this you'd be golden.

As far as the pdf goes though, wouldn't it be in your best interest to just keep it to BnB's considering combo's are ever changing and newly found?
Not to mention you'd have to entirely change things up if a patch arrives and a character has some changes which affect certain combo strings?

well yea i´m a developer myself. Currently not much time to develop though because of my thesis. Would be no problem to port it into an App later on, when i have some time.

Yea actually i´ve thought about it and i don´t know how i should handle it. Best would probably be to stay with the most important combos and show possibilities , instead of writing down every combo.
