I have not played any fighting games in awhile but I still keep up with the scene and watch tournaments. Please please please players who are playing on stream, Please let the character intro and outro run through.

I honestly stop watching Mkx tournaments because it feels so unsatisfying when players disruptively reset the matches. There is a sense of uneasiness when this happens; it does not only happens to me but other people i have spoken to as well.

Honestly, the intros are almost different every time; why would you not let this run and promote the game.... Come on guys!!!! I love watching NRS games, so please....

I 100% agree with the first match intro... but after that I respect it due to keeping the set momentum.

The bigger one is commentators talking through clash dialogue. The I2 dialogue is so far much better than the first game. Some of it leaves you, "Ohh, shitt!!"

I mean players can do what they please in term of intro and outro. But if they want to support the game and overall community, it is best to let everything run through. In the end, skipping intro and outros hurt the viewers, i know some of my friends stop watching the game because players keep resetting the game

It is annoying to watch....

I mean you can't even here the intros over the crowd or commentary. plus it's hard as hell for the players to here at offline events. and if someone is actually gonna not watch a tournament because the players skip intros then they clearly did not have much interest in the first place

I think it's less important for this game, but I support letting the first intro play and then letting them do whatever.

I think it was more of an issue in MK games where, someone does a fatality as a hype finisher to a hype match and the guy who lost is too salty to let it play and just resets instantly or goes to the ps3/4 home screen.

I think the intros and clash dialogues are good for spectators, but I don't think we'd need to see anything beyond the first match between two characters. If we're talking about each game, no, that's unnecessary, and you're probably going to get repeat quotes anyway,

If I was running an event personally, I'd require the players to skip all intros until Top 16, and then I'd require them to let it rock for the first game. I'd also ask commentators to shut the hell up during intros and clash quotes.

That's it though. The real draw to a tournament should be the high level play. The quotes are great, and unique to NRS games, but they're the frosting, and best used sparingly imho.

By your argument, we should only satisfy viewers who are into game play (Thats the gtfo casual mentality thats so bad in the fgc)..... I honestly love NRS games and so are some of my friends. And we literally stop watching because the reset of the games are too annoying to watch, its just not fun to watch

You can hear everything during offline events during top 8 because they usually stream 1 game at the time.... You dont hear commentary in offline

For twitch watchers, you can definitely hear the intro.... what are you talking about

I think the players come first, it's up to them really. I wouldn't force something like this especially with money on the line.

Is something like this supposed to be expected throughout the entirety of the games life?

Intros and clash dialog are w/e.

But people need to stop going to match restart, it is really fucking jarring.
It was an issue with MKX, and I was hoping they would have added an option for tournament mode to disable it.

It really hurts the stream experience, you never get any satisfaction over a win because they go right back into the match with out any downtime, and you never get that little moment of when the player cam shows up after a loss.
It's a lot of little things you miss out on because of it, and it adds up to make the experience worse for a viewer.

The real draw of tournaments depends on each individuals. Some people go to see and take pictures of their players, some people go for casuals, some people go to watch, some people go and stumble on a cool game that they might pick up. Its not always about "high level play"; there are a lot of casuals who go to tournaments. and have no idea what "high level play" is

Honestly, what a better way to promote a game than by showing off the components of the game that is good? People play games that they like to watch, resetting the game during outro does not make the game look good at all

This is a really weird peeve to me, I watch for the matches, not the cutscenes. Is this really such a thing that people will stop watching a tournament over? Even when I'm sitting at home I feel like it drags on and kills momentum to let them play after the first one.

But it's the loser that decides to do that. They can take the time to think if need be but if they want to get right back in they should be able to as long as it's not effecting the gameplay.

I'd say there should be a tournament mode where you cant reset unless everything runs through at the end (Just the one on stream)

At the end of the day its up to the players to do what they want and skip what they skip, all of this is suggestion if theyre willing to do it for the viewers

The only reason people do it is to get back into the game as quickly as possible. I think it's perfectly fine.

I don't think adding an extra 20 seconds is going to hurt players much, and it would go along way to help the streamer experience.

It made sense when they added it to Injustice 1 because those outros were long AF, but for MKX and Injustice 2, it's just unneeded, and provides a really jarring experience.

I'm just not a fan of forcing players to wait if they don't have to mid tournament match. They wouldn't hit rematch at all if it wasn't in their best interests.

I'm gonna have to side with @Scoot Magee here.

I get that there are casual fans that will tune in, and that those people might want to see outros, intros and cutscenes, but every casual fan will not agree. People are never 100% in agreement about anything.

Show me your friends, who want to see every outro and intro every time, and I can probably find just as many people, who just want to see the characters beat each other up. I mean, I hear you and I hear @Rathalos but, considering the fact that people like things for different reasons and that all fans will not be in agreement, I think we have to defer to the players, and what they want.

Some players like to ride momentum, and not give their opponents a chance to catch up. And, some players want to go right back in and put the previous loss behind them. Since they're the ones putting on the show, I would prefer that they have the freedom to skip the dialogue as they see fit.

Again, I like the idea of letting Intros rock during Top 16, but any more than that may put a halt to the momentum, even for a lot of "casual" fans. Either way, I say let the players decide.

And I did say letting the players decide, this is merely a suggestion and not a force. However, tournament mode in top 8 that is already placed in the game (Prevent reset/ skipping intros) would probably be best; because now its not really externally forcing a player to do something, it'll just be the game

The appeal of watching tournaments is to see high level play. Nobody is watching a tournament so they can hear the intros. Also as someone who has attended combo breaker and will attend it this year I promise you that you will not be able to hear a single intro

I went to CEO, Final around many times during top 8. I can hear everything just fine, maybe combo breaker needs to up their game play volume during final days

Plus this is not for people to go specifically to watch intros, im talking about people who just watch the game casually or they dont even know about the game. Its good for viewership overall

Tournament players go to tournaments to play the game, not to appease the stream. When I am on stream at any tournament, the people watching from home are literally the last thing on my mind lol
