Oh, you play on PS3? I didn't know. Glad to see another CFW PS3 user here.

As I've posted in my status, the June release date will be skipped, I'll be aiming for a late July release, or an August release.
Development as of late has been slow, mostly because I couldn't find much useful stuff, so I'm taking more time in order to properly analyze MK9's data.

MK9 TE 2.00 will be delayed again. It will come out at some point in the latter half of this year, but I have no further news to offer.

I know this is spoiling a bit, but I think this stuff should be announced at this point:
-Bosses will not be playable. It's just not really feasible to rebalance them. You end up with characters that are pretty much neutered(especially with the fact they have no breakers and they can't jump or normally crouch at all)

-I've been thinking about the classic music mod and ultimately, I think it's kinda pointless. I mean, not only will it bloat the size of the rar but also, on SP modes you can't play modern music. (The method to playing classic music by default is by editing the music files and swapping the music tag/name around. So when the game thinks it's playing the modern music, it's playing classic and viceversa) That and when you really get down to it, the mod is primarily a balance mod intended for tournament players, who will likely either not care about the music or if they wanna play classic music, they'll just press start on the stage select screen to enable the classic music.

-Unless it's a bugfix or hotfix, future patches will be unlikely.(Unless there's a lot of demand for it, but even then keep in mind the limitations of MK9 modding)
This isn't exactly news (I had already stated 2.00 was to be the last major update, unless new breakthroughs in MK9 modding were to occur) but I'm just posting this again as a reminder.

Thank you so much for the hard work. As you said, its more about the balance for competitive play.

Please, tell me cause I am too lazy to look for it, are there changes to the netcode, or this MOD is balance modification ?

I meant primarily a balance mod, forgot to add that word, oops!
There are gameplay/engine changes done to improve the quality of the game (like the air breaker nerf and the partial input bug fix) and yes, the netcode mod is among them.
However you need to do some extra steps (it's listed in the "howtousemodifiednetcode" txt file) in order to use one of the optional netcode fixes. By default, the netcode isn't modded since it can be wildly hit and miss when it comes to improving the code. Sometimes it will vastly improve the experience, other times it's a slight improvement and sometimes it can outright CRASH the game. It depends heavily on the opponent you face and the quality of connection between you two.
BTW, you're welcome!

When the time is right, I will get back to this with you. For now I have life bugs and gliches I need to take care of.

Are you on some kind of communicator, in case I would need to talk to you about setting this game to work properly.

We also could run a game test, I have decent connection here in Warsaw.

Send me a PM and we can talk there. In regards to testing netcode, my pc isn't really good for that. I do know a player who could be up for testing netcode, but I need to talk to him first.
As for setting the game to work properly, do you mean game bugs/issues? I do have a list of the known issues (bad netcode, input bug, random block adv. bug, some stages (like Hell) need to be normalized, air breakers being too powerful, input storing and negative edge need to be toned down slightly, Player 1 adv., meter drain glitch)
Although I don't think I'll be able to address all of them.

@NSR you gotta give us more combo potential, it adds so much spice to an old game
No. Balance comes first, and balance doesn't always mean every character needs new combos. Only characters who need them will be given those tools.
As for making a separate gameplay mod that breaks the characters, it can be done, but right now, TE is my main focus and personally, a mod that breaks the MK9 chars and gives them new combos is a possibility but NOT a probability.

Yeah, I figured so, but still.

@NSR Kenshi's soul charge tends to whiff in the corner against crouching opponents. Try cancelling f32 or 114 into it against a crouch blocking Scorpion, it works on other characters as well.

It's intended to be a special high attack, in other words, if the opponent is crouching, they can avoid the attack. If they are crouch blocking, it will connect. No edits to the colsize variable were done, only the blockreq one.

@NSR so...I'll be able to actually check this game out since I have a PC that can actually play the game lol.

you didn't read the instructions properly.

Ok guys, it's time to announce it.
I've gotten some very helpful feedback from @REO @RM AtK! @Insuperable
Next patch will have a shift in focus towards character changes. A lot of them. How many? Well over a hundred.
Mind you, most of the old stuff that was done will be kept, this isn't like the 1.00 fiasco where nothing was kept.

Specifically what this patch will aim at for character changes is: fix hitbox issues, fix useless strings, fix underpowered ex moves.Other types of nerfs and buffs will be present, but I won't say anything more. It will be pretty big.

System changes will still be present, with normalized stages being guaranteed to show up. I'll try to fix meter drain, as well as negative edge, input storing, P1 adv. and Block adv. No guarantees on these 5 changes though.

Toasty Boost will be nerfed, it will either give no meter or outright be impossible to execute.

Finally, outside of additional skins, I changed my mind about the music: classic music will play by default and several stages that had shitty music will have their music replaced (Hell by Scorpion's Lair for example)

There may be some UI changes, but that's a major MAYBE.

REO is planning to do a stream of MK9 TE 1.85 this weekend, however he needs to check with his friends to see if he can play.

When will MK9 TE 2.00 be released? Q4 2017. Nothing else to say except stay tuned.

It will be a big one.
