I don't have a problem with mb f/b3 in the game or them being plus. If you look at a lot of the other chars frame data a lot of moves and strings were plus so it probably went with the meta of the game but most had so much pushback they really didn't do much for the character but buy some space. If you look at complaints from the game too I think there were zero about the mb 3's.
Coming into i2 I hope my opponent tries that on me the whole game and lose out on their other, probably better mb moves, air escapes, lose clashes.
I promise you this is not the same as mkx

Is there actually any legit justification for them being plus on block? Talking about the Mb ones specifically, theyre obviously not a bad thing as a whole mechanic but I don't think any of them should be plus unless there's a major drawback to them, purely because of the armor. However normal B/F3s being plus is all good imo but the Mb ones might be a bit much

Yeah, and that's why it was a very good F3 but it was like having just some random safe overhead... A lot of characters had safe/+ 50-50's anyways so it never felt like something amazing.


The whole F3/B3 sistem in IGAU was pretty balanced to be honest.

Actually the fram data in general for IGAU didn't make semse at all lol... Everything was safe or plus! They fit in that meta a lot... And in this case since everything seems to be punisheable/safe at best with only some moves being +... MB B3/F3 won't be an issue either, if we dealt with them in a game where frame data was fucked up, I think we can deal with them now :p

am i the only one who seems to notice that f3s, for the most part, are extremely slow and reactable compared to inj1? every time i see an f3 in a breakdown stream i'm so shocked at how slow the f3 is.

Removing the armor from all (enfacis on the "all" part) armored launchers in MKXL was stupid. A simplistic fix to shut up complaints that ends up hurting diversity. Its the same as "Everybody should have a good anti-air", "Armored moves should never be plus" or "Invincible moves should never be safe".

While I am not saying this things can't be a problem, specially when given around carelessly, they are all great ways that help to add balance and diversity to games. What is true to one, or even most characters, might not be true to others. This kind of absolutisms do no good to our games.

PS: I would like to assume my stance on MB B3/F3 is clear enough.

i think being free to jump ins is pretty poor design for any character. Kind of a lame way to make someone "different". Everybody probably should have decent at least anti air options

Flash had stupid good damage off 50/50s and I can't remember if the universal d2 buff came after his dash buff but he always had a great whiff punisher in torpedo. By the end of the games life depending on who you talked to he had no losing mus. No character needs everything

As far as I remember b3 and f3 had the same data regardless of mb'ed or not. I do remember when they buffed the mb version to have a 1.5 damage boost that was removed if a hit was absorbed which was a nice change I felt

They are hold-able, the more you hold the more it takes to come out indepent of how fast they activate, you can also delay the armor activation on them intentionally.

BM B3 and BM F3 are awesome.

The lift is strong in this one
Every character has an armored wall bounce and an armored, overhead launcher. Some are more plus than others, just as some are faster than others. All of this is fine. What sucks is that some B3's still are two hitting, which makes it so they can armor and beat another MB B3. This is the one thing I dont like.

Lets be serious here - KF isn't playing the Lobo matchup up close unless she already reset you. If she's mindlessly sliding at you, chances are the player is just that...MINDLESS
