From what I'm understanding, he is a low-damage trap/set-play character (don't ask for sources, don't wanna get someone in trouble) but his strings are a bit on the weaker/unsafe side so he relies on strong reads and forward planning to be effective.

Counting in that I rather like Captain Cold and the rogue gallery for the flash is my personal favorite (sorry batman), he is my planned main.

Flash is my favorite character from any fiction, specifically Wally West and his Rogues Gallery are some of my favorite villains all-time. In my head Captain Cold has weak combos but excels at long range with traps like you said.

TRAPS
* Ice Stalagmites/Ice Spikes, mid range attack shoots the ground creating stalagmites or MB for falling stalagmites.
* Ice Patch, causes knockdown, bounce, slipping.
* Ice Block/Wall, creates a barrier of ice that blocks projectiles.
* Freeze, slow long range projectile that freezes the opponent in place. Extremely unsafe only useful at long range.
* Ice Grenade, timed trap that explodes, deals low damage and slows down an opponent temporarily.

Assuming the person was honest about it, pseudo-leak. They seem reliable but ya know, who really knows?

I am assuming he will end up being a vortex character considering his main ability's are ice-based. Overall he will probably be fun to play.

Link? What exactly do you mean? You swap a Captain Cold card for a Mister Freeze character card or something?

Edit: I think it's pretty hilarious that so many of us Bane mains in I1 went to Shinnok in MKX and now to Captain Cold in I2?

...like...why? Those characters don't seem to have much in common yet they capture our hearts...

Watching the watchtower stream for Captain Cold and seeing how he has to meterburn or setup trait for a time to get freezes (I thought that unlike the kryptonians he would have meterless freezes), and then checking Injustice 1 to see that even Scorpion had to meterburn to get continuations from the spear, now I wonder what are they going to do with Sub-Zero's iceball and klone.

Klone is probably the trait anyway, but a Sub-Zero without a meterless combo extender is going to look weird... maybe if the regular one is slow it can still be a freeze? Alternatively I guess the Klone could be the meterburn version of an ice parry and the trait be a meter indicating how much iceblast you can throw in a stream or something like that.

Yeah, I have no idea how they're going to make Sub-Zero Unique in this given CC is a hybrid of Unbreakable, Grandmaster, Gunslinger and then some. We keep assuming he'll be DLC they may just have Scorpion back and no Sub-Zero. CC is going to be really tough act for SZ to follow IF he makes it in.

Don't remember the 'Ice Block' freezing on touch meter burn so the Clone may make it in and act like a 'block/keep out' tool without meter burn and freeze with meter. I also think Ice Weapons may be the trait rather than the clone but hey who knows at this point. All I know is CC as a DC character looks hella fun.

I don't really want Sub-Zero as a guest(or any MK characters for that matter), but I don't understand why people are acting like it's impossible for ice-based characters to play or use their powers differently. People said Frost could never be in MKX because she'd just be a female Sub-Zero(ironically the same people seemed to be okay with having Cyber Sub-Zero) and now people are saying Sub-Zero wouldn't work in this game because Cold uses a freeze gun.

I guess if people wanna ignore the fact that Sub-Zero uses ice constructs like hammers, swords, clones, and things like that and would probably play more aggressively, then sure.

Captain Cold looks really cool, definitely checking him out. So many defensive tools.

Looks like they will make Sub more of a rush down character after all (if he makes it in, I still think he will), I don't think they'll make 2 zoning ice characters. Was hoping that Sub would be the zoning one but oh well, still going to play him.
