Is the game going to stay true to the comic storyline?

Like how Black Canary attempts to kill Superman with a revenge scheme (now that shes in the game )..... Or will the game diverge and make a new path>?

I sure hope so! The story is awesome and 5 years in the whole universe still all holds together pretty nicely. They got actual story reasons for bringing back the characters who died in the first game or the comic.
Scarecrow is the avatar of the Rot and the new nemesis of Swamp Thing.
Black Canary was saved and moved to another dimension by Dr. Fate and he's bringing her back (probably) along with the Oliver Queen from another earth that lived with her in this alternate dimension.
Even for MMH Tom Taylor recently confirmed his arcade ending to be canon, saying Superman blasted him, his pieces fell into the ocean and he survived, disguising himself as an Atlantean for 5 years now.

The only real mystery is Joker, who many think will be brought back as the Specter.

The Injustice Game storyline starts in Year Five so Canary already did her revenge scheme back in Year Two.

As for whether or not the game follows the comics, apart from things like MMH coming back to life even though he was burned alive everything seems to be the same. It pretty much just seems like the game only deviates from the comics when it comes to reviving dead characters.

Of the known / leaked characters;
Joker - Injustice Joker is dead, Home Joker went home.
Canary - Taken by Dr. Fate to another dimension to which he claims he will not return.
Arrow - Injustice Arrow is dead, Home Joker went home, Canary Dimension Arrow should still be in Canary Dimension.
Darkseid - Punked by Superman twice, should have technically withdrawn from this reality with the New Gods.
Dr. Fate - Sucked into the void along with Trigon and Mxyzpltk
Swamp Thing - Trapped in hell after Flash fails to save him
Scarecrow - Dead (Mobile says he was resurrected by The Rot for some reason).

But as I said, given the super flimsy excuse Tom gave for MMH, we should all accept every one of them are about to get some poorly thought out all passes.

Doesn't mean she would never come back. Hell in the other dimension, she shows genuine concern over her original earth.

for example, someone else couldve brought her there, or she went back.
