New and excited to learn!! (Injustice)

Hey everyone!

So my name is Alex, and I'm pretty new to fighting games. I mean, I've been playing them my whole life! But mostly really casually. Just locally with friends and arcade modes, etc. Never really online, but I'm hoping to change that now!

I'd love to be pointed in the right direction on where to begin? I was looking through the Injustice board for example at combos and I... Well, as embarassing as this is, I could not for the life of me read them. I know the number system (direction wise I mean... I'm sure y'all know what I mean.) So any help at all would be appreciated, trying to learn as much as I can to jump into Injustice 2 head on!

I'd also love to make some friends, people who share my interests that I can talk to, have some friendly matches with, etc.

What do you mean you couldn't read them but you said you know the number system? Lol. I'll do the best I can.
1 = X (Xbox) or Square (PS4)
2 = Y or Triangle
3 = A or X
4 = B or Circle
MB or EX = Meterburned or Enhanced
xx or ~ = Represents a cancel. Example: 112 (the string) ~ Special move

PS4- 1: square 2: triangle 3: X 4: circle
XBONE- 1: X 2: Y 3: A 4: B

Took me a while to get used to when I first started, now it's just natural to me.

Also a good tip, is to go to your control settings and turn off negative edge. You'll do your combos a lot easier

You definitely need combos; know what's optimal and use what's practical. Write them down and take them to training mode.
