Dude, I just read the explanation on why he was banned. It's the tech you just told me about with the zone attacks. Where it looks like it's coming from a certain guard and the zone attack comes out in a different guard.
Damn thats dumb. Its in the game now and has been in since atleast the beta. You cant keep certain tech out of the game just because you dont like it. If its too strong then it will be patched.
You might as well not let berserker and conqueres play because they get a free gb after a block and its confirmed by the devs as a glitch.

Yeah, it's tapping light then heavy to do a zone attack. It's just Kara canceling it, so you can have the attack indicator show on the other side. It happens at times regardless, from normal play, if your inputs are sloppy. But you can purposely do it ad a mixup too of course. Honestly against wardens I haven't really had trouble just blocking left and reacting to the top light. I don't see the problem in having literally one option being maybe unreactable.

They said it was being done with PK which is probably pretty good because the startup of the zone is already unreactable. But I still do not see the point of not excepting it. Its in the game and its here to stay till a patch.

Btw, I forgot to post earlier. I went through and recorded at 60 fps on PC every characters light and zone attacks startup. Every light attack in the game is either 31 frame impact, or 37 frame impact with the exception of Kensei's side lights being 43 frames.

The fastest move in the game is tied between PK zone attack and Warden running heavy attack. Both are 25 frames.

Also random tidbit about Berserker I noticed, if you hit someone with zone attack, they can deflect the last hit. So it's punishable on hit in that situation. Not sure if it's parryable as well, but if you can that sucks big time and it would be a useless move against someone that knows that, as you'd take more damage from the guardbreak heavy then what you actual deal in damage.

Did you test PKs second hit lights? I believe 2 of them are unreactable.

Is defense tied to blocking or is it how much damage you take?

Is throw distance how far you can throw someone from or how far you can throw them?

No, I just recorded first hits for all characters. PK's lights are all 31 frames on first hit.

Ive never played as shugoki but Im pretty sure you get a free grab after parry which is fine. gb counters should not reward the counterer because they are too easy to counter. The only assassin attacks that are somewhat fast are zone attacks and light attack and you should be just blocking those.
No I don't get a grab punish unfortunately because they easily roll or dash away. I duel a pretty nasty Raider and he doesn't play the grab after any of my counters. I only land it on hard reads or conditioning him to block one attack at a time and baiting his turn with one.

I do see your point about the guard break counter though. My issue really stems from the fact that I'm not rewarded after doing my job of playing statue and the assassin makes a poor decision/play. I don't have a problem blocking attacks afterward I guess I'm just salty about the fact that the neutral is completely reset after they screw up. Perks of being so fat.

None of my friends play for honor they only play Nrs games so no help there.

Ahh i hate this game sometimes seems like you cant learn a match without getting bodied over and over to figure out whatever gimmicks there using fuck it ij2 is almost here i cant play a game if you cant lab anything its retarded

You can say the same for nrs games too. Just test it against a good ai and see what they do or get some people online to help test.

Oh you said grab originally so I was thinking my command grab, not guard break. Cool, I need to consider that.

I wish there was an "arena" gamemode where you 1v1 or 2v2 or even 3v3 in a Roman Colosseum esc area so you wouldn't have to deal with hazards. I know they are part of the game but damn the amount of people online that literally rely on them is absurd. Plus I think it would be hype af to battle in a Colosseum with a crowd of people cheering.

Yeah I had a 2v2 match with someone the other night after me and him beat our opponents it was our turn to match up. He stood on a bridge taunting waiting for me to come over until there was 30 seconds left. I went to a room with an opening to be thrown off and he came over only because it had that hazard lol.
A colosseum style stage with 3v3 brawls added would be so good.
