Whether you're a fan of the literally unstoppable @SonicFox5000 or not... this documentary made by Phil Nolan is a must watch. You get a taste of his dominance in previous NetherRealm Studios' titles such as Mortal Kombat 9 and Injustice: Gods Among Us, but it mainly dives into what is the SonicFox era, "Mortal Kombat X". His dominance has put a cloud over the NetherRealm scene to where if you won a tournament, but you didn't have to go through SonicFox, it already seems like a water-down accomplishment... that is how fierce the Fox's reign is.

In addition to his FGC accomplishments, SonicFox also talks about his college plans and what his ultimate goals are, and that is actually working on his own fighting games. Lord knows there is great chance of him working at NetherRealm Studios someday, however, his ambitions just might take him on a different path.

If you'd like to see just how insane his accomplishments have been, check out our "NetherRealm Victory Hall" thread where we have many of SonicFox's winning articles linked to the event he won. All dating back to as far as 2013.

Literally, practically, close enough.

The guy finished top 2 in nearly every tournament he entered for practically 2 years running, and he won the overwhelming majority of them. Sure, the word technically doesn't fit, but it's close enough to being literal to let it slide IMO.
You can add up the number of times they've collectively stopped him from winning an MKX major, and still count them on one hand (with fingers left)
I'd say he's the closest person in the NRS scene that "literally unstoppable" would apply to.
Still not "literally unstoppable" :)

What if Tom Brady didn't introduce this monster in MKX scene? I remember seeing him play with Tom Brady to MK9. Tom, you just brought a conqueror in ours MKX scene.

Congrats to Sonicfox for his accomplishments.

Still not "literally unstoppable" :)
Actually yes, literally unstoppable. Being a grammar nazi is all fine and dandy if you know wtf you're talking about but the informal use of the word intended solely for emphasis has been accepted by every major dictionary as a legitimate definition of the word now, so these kinds of posts are LITERALLY the worst.

The main reason I hope we have mkx at least at side tournaments at every major is cus semij. He's the only one I've seen beat Fox at grand finals twice. He just needs to travel more

KP is right, I literally tune in to watch him lose and seeing him come out victorious out of a situation most high level players would choke in leaves me in awe. Truly gifted.

Since Justin Wong in Marvel 2, never seen someone be so dominant in a game in recent memory. Like we had dominant players before (Infiltration at SSFIV: AE, Chris G in UMVC3 and even REO in MK9) but this guy is been running this community for almost 3 years. That without saying he didnt place lower then top 4 in any MKX tournament. Sonic is just one of, if not THE best fighting game player of this generation. And the best part is that he plays our game.
