This last video reminds me of a project I've been wanting to do, but don't have the time for: a list of strings into specials that have gaps that can be parried. For example:

War God

B122~OH Sword = no gap
B122~Low Sword/Saw Blade = can Parry
B14~OH Sword/Low Sword/Saw Blade = can Parry
F1B2~OH Sword/Low Sword/Saw Blade = can Parry

Or, as you just showed here:

Tremor

String~OH Punch = can Parry

The question is, of course, does that work against all of Tremor's strings? Also, if Tremor uses Straight Punch, it's probably a true string, so something to watch out for.

Of course, this tech doesn't matter against characters that end their strings in projectiles, like KL Buzz Saw with Low Hat or Sub any variation with Burst, but it could matter against say Reptile's Claw.

I think claw makes the string gapless but I could be wrong

16:20 - WTF happened there? Just after Sub dropped his parry, Kung Lao tele grabbed him, and lost his grab midway.

Overall, ggs. :)

I hella don't know but it was fun to see it while playing. :) Afterall that's gotta be some lag issues.

This is my billionth life cycle.
I feel like your play is a little too proactive - a lot of unsafe hard reads, random slides, and double poking on block. Then at some points, you totally back off and give your opponent way too much respect. It might be better to try to find a middle ground and staying safe, then going balls to the wall in the corner.

Bah, thought I was going to get to upload my recent tournament match against 2eZ. He won all 3, but I took each to the 3rd round and could have won the last if I hadn't gotten Slide happy. With the game play adjustments that all of these vids have inspired, UB is feeling really good. Look forward to using him in the Kombat Cup tomorrow.

Is there any tech or habits you would recommend?

I've played ub sub since the 2nd month after release(originally played GM). So I understand why you make those reads. What I've started doing is using ex aura more. So when I'm punishing or caught a frozen opponent, B12 xx exaura xx B12 is my friend. If u have exaura up there is no reason to not try B2 reset. If blocked you don't take as much damage

What's had a significant change on my win percentage is focusing on the post Burst onion. By that I mean after regular Burst using EX Parry or backdash, and after Burst with Aura using regular Parry or D4. Once the opponent begins to think that they can't attack after a blocked Burst/Burst with Aura, then you can mix in throws, B2s, etc.

If the opponent starts to armor the gap, you can end the string in Parry instead of Burst or just stop the string (which depending on the string is safe--I like B12). If they start to backdash the gap, you can start to end in Slide (risky) or EX Burst for a full combo.

That's my secret to recent success anyway.

After playing unbreakable for a while im starting to lean towards being aggressive with him. Sub cant zone effectively in this variation and with his damage boosts you benefit more from his mixups and corner pressure.

- B12 xx EXAURA xx B12

When canceling the B12 into aura you should use EX. You take less damage using the ex version. Knowing this you can be more reckless and go for the B12 reset.

Example: B12xxEXAURAxxB12xxiceball--->B12 ~ B2 or B33

These options can lead to big damage resets mid screen (42-50%). The options for the opponent are to block, backdash(not everyone), or armor. With EX aura on you can take that risk and build meter as well.
