Discussion Easiest characters to pick up top 5

Unstoppable Jason seems reallllly simple to pick up and let rip.

Seeing Cyber Kano is interesting.. Ive never considered him super hard or anything, but not potato easy by any means. But then, I guess we are talking just grab and head online, not talking playing the character 'right' or even well, so that would drastically change what you needed to learn/do. Knife spam would auto-win a lot Id think.
No? You're not really letting him rip if you can't properly do his tick throws, and it took me so long to master his b1 and b3 tick throws.

LaidbackOne

Scrubby nice guy
Jason as a whole (his tick throws are not hard at all, stahp)
Kung Jin Bojutsu/Shaolin
Subby GM
Kotal Wargod/Sungod
Kano Cutthroat
Jax Wrestler/Pu

Nu-Skoool

Feel the nerf of despair
Piercing Mileena for sure.
Learned her BnBs, spent months on/off not even studying the game, and with decent footsies got pretty far.

I'm not sure how accurate the win ratio thing is for online, but I'm pretty sure I made players that I had 0% chance to beat rage when I'd body them game after game. Probably contributed a fair amount to the Mileena hate train in the process.

It's all so very confusing.

Yes? The post isn't about playing a character at the top level or even playing them 'well' the post is just asking for characters that offer good rewards for minimal invested time/effort and that net easy wins vs random people online , ie, Cyber Kano just spamming knives and Kano ball to take wins on new/inexperienced/unskilled players.

I have the worse execution on this damn forum, and I'm just a shit player in every regard, and I can log on Unstoppable Jason and abuse some of his shit to take cheap wins vs inexperienced opposition.. like the super, amazing difficult plus on block OH vs low in the corner, , then whiff punishing or just catching people with his advancing mid string that leads to 24/25% potato damage without any RCs or tricky links, and more if you do the optimal version, but again, we're talking simple shit, so that doesn't count (even though its still quite simple). Isn't low starter into command grab like 40% with ex damage buff up or something? And a very plus on block OH let's you spam it in the corner, etc.

Jason's low level game plan takes zero experience or ability to execute.

I'm not saying he's easy to play at a high level, or trying to undermine the work and success you have with the character, but Jason can do a LOT off very basic stuff and dominate people who don't understand (the people this post is targeted towards) what's going on. So he absolutely fits the bill as a candidate for this post.

actually mileena is hated online because of her sai + teleport spamming and her roll being basically safe on block, not because of her bnb or footsie

Yeah, people are completely losing sight of the point of this thread--easy to play and win with online.

I said characters that are easy to get a hold of quickly...
You think Jax is easy to get a hold of? His mix ups require him to cancel into his overhead dash punch, which has a weird/complex input, at least compared to most special moves in the game, and his mid screen bnbs are a bitch to pull off when first learning him. I mean now since I've been playing him for months they come out like butter but during my first couple weeks I dropped them like 70% of the time in actual matches.

With variations like Shaolin Kung Jin and Ninjutsu Scorpion you'd have to be drunk to drop their combos.

Not to mention he doesn't have a super easy "get in" move like a Teleport(Smoke, Sektor, Millenna), Jump Normal with ridiculous range(Sonya, Kotal, Kung Lao), or a Slide that goes under projectiles and recovers instantly on whiff (Sub zero, Reptile).

My top 5 easiest (at least of the characters i have experience with):

Ninjutsu Scorpion
Slasher Jason
Shaolin Kung Jin
Cutt Throat Kano
Game Master Sub

Easiest to pick up imo
1. War god kotal kahn
2. possessed kenshi
3. grand master sub-zero
4. covert-ops sonya
5. bojutsu kung-jin

Well, B122 is +5 against online players so yeah.
I won a set against some dude just by doing B32 with Kotal over and over lol.

Haha exactly. I've played some Unstoppable and he is def not an easy character to play vs people who.understand the MU and the game, but vs a newer players.. I have won entire games just spamming the OH in the corner mindlessly and occasionally going with his low starter into grab lol.

Vithar

Evil but Honest!
1.Kotal Khan as whole , he takes the +1 Chromosome at the top.(Grotesque and execution mockery, even Chimps can play him).
2.Kung Jin BonGjutsu and Shaolin.
3.Scorpion (all variations).
4.Shinnok - Necro and Bone Shaper.
5.Probably half of the variations in the game , few of them - Jason's 3 , Shirai and Lasher Takeda , Sub Zero Unbreakable and Cryo , Pyromancer etc etc ...

Kotal hasn't been mentioned enough, should be #1 for sure. Piercing and bojutsu pretty close after him.

Dankster Morgan

It is better this way
Grandmaster is Subs Essie's variation, damaging female combos aren't even hard. They're as easy as the male ones lol. Learning one easy combo and one even easier one isn't that hard.
