Hello my lovely Cyrax players. I am here to help you guys fix a problem involving Cyrax. We have VERY little in the ways of Match Footage when it comes to this character which makes judging it in any capacity intensely difficult. So I figured you guys would appreciate this thread being created. Be sure to post your match footage here and I will be sure to add it to the OP for cleanliness sake.

Life is a block string with no gaps.
I haven't been a cyrax main in a good while, but I appreciate the tag all the same. I do try to keep up with any new tech for him though as I still think he's fun to play.

I expect alot more cyrax players to pop up with K&M doing more videos, Scarsunseen showing off her cyrax on different streams and PG Scar playing him abit also.

Cyrax really isn't as bad as people think. Yes Sektor and Smoke are easier and have more tools in the neutral but it doesn't make him garbage. Not even close.

list of what I have a hard time against and would love high level match footage:

Liu Kang (all variations) - Safe armor, insane pressure, low profiles very well with D3.
HQT - Lasers pew pew.
Hellfire - His general pressure is too much.
Goro (All) - Bullied by pokes.
Cassie - (hollywood) Bullied by pokes and B1 outranges Cyraxs options.
Kitana (All) - She just does what she wants most the time. her D3 low profiles very well also.
Smoke - Better mids and tools.
Sektor - Superior range, hit confirms and pressure tools.
Grandmaster - B2 boys.
Pyro Tanya - Same reason she wins against everyone else, slippery, good damage.
Displacer Raiden - can I haz that teleport please.
Shinnok (maybe its not that bad) - Even though he can loop net into mimic, I feel its 5/5 as hellsparks are easily controlled and remove that option.
Reptile - Overheads, lows and forceballs everywhere, I feel its not just cyrax that has problems
Mystic - Not actually played a single mystic.

I might of missed some out, but above I feel are Cyrax's losing match-ups.

All others are 5/5s or in Cyraxs favour.

Kang destroys Cyrax. Dualist wins 6-4, Dragon's Fire and Flame Fist wins 7-3.

5-5 (i'll record a set with @ESP-_BLACK that is one of the best Hellfire in NA so you will see that Cyrax vs Hellfire really is 5-5)

i put grandmaster in losing MU, 6-4 probably even 7-3, Cyrax does have options in the corner though; so i'm hesitant to put it at 7-3 like Cage/Jax against sub, because they have very few options in the corner now.

Pc copy is so cheap! We played that in 260 ms lol.

Id rather be able to play like that than be locked out of for sure.

I have ps4 EU copy, and get 150-200 ms games all the time, yet i see f0xy getting that on NA. Might get the NA version.

We play in that lag because holy shit how fun cyrax mirrors are.

Bold claims here. Cyrax isn't garbage, no. But can you feel something is a losing matchup based on a punishable move (sub b2) or matchups you havent played? (mystic)

Also saying Cyrax has 7-3s is ballsy. Whilst I'm inclined to agree he beats Jax, 7-3? Why? Also he 7-3's Cage? How? (for comparison 7-3 is Shinnok/FerraTorr territory, hence why I'm sceptical.)

Explanations needed. (however maybe not in the MU thread so DM me perhaps?)

I was saying Sub-zero 7-3s Cage and Jax. Not Cyrax 7-3s them.

I didn't post specific match-up numbers just match-ups I felt weren't in favour. I wanted people to post these match-ups at a high level so we can see what can be used to Cyrax's advantage to help even the match-up or even show how the match-up is in Cyrax's favour.

I am in no position to provide solid MU numbers, I can't even play Cyrax well.

I've edited the post in question for clarity on the matter.

My mistake, apologies for the misunderstanding.

I'm happy to see actual discussion going on here though, makes a nice change from nothing but training mode! Happy to see you guys playing.
