Hey can you tell me how to do a auto correct DP with Ryu? I was assuming on a cross up just do the DP as if you were facing the other way.
an auto correct is just timing it so that you do the input for them being in front and they cross over immediately so it comes out behind you. Unreliable.

A cross cut dp on the other hand is done with the input ➡↘⬇↙ + p(the first input is forward). So you walk under then swing it back to down back. If it's timed right it's the fastest input to dp on the opposite side.

IMO if anyone is getting blown up by regular throws, they need to practice the jump back OS tech. Don't have a visceral reaction to OSes. It is a game changer and really transforms the risk/reward of the game in a good way. Game becomes less "get knocked down once and die" and more neutral based, promoting better play.

It's not particularly hard either. I haven't spent much time on it so I'm still inconsistent but I get it half the time and it helps a lot.

To practice, just record the CPU mixing up dash up grabs and dash up normals to practice the timing. The inputs are: downback, upback + grab, downback.

Normalize grab immunity.
Apparently you can kara cancel any normal or special on the first frame into anything:

Awww I thought it was some crazy whiff cancel thing in neutral. Super freeze setups are still cool but I was prepared for something way crazier.

Are you sure specials are included in this OS? Are you sure you can cancel into anything?

I don't think it has anything to do with the super freeze. He was just using the super freeze to freeze the game so you could see the normals he was kara canceling. He found a situation where he could freeze the game while being +1, then showed how he could kara cancel Chun's s.LK or her cr.MP into super.

I don't know for sure if you can cancel into anything but I've heard of situations where you could kara cancel into throws to get more tick throw options so this would support that. More testing is probably needed.

EDIT:

So, watch this video at about 50 seconds where Danke talks about plinking into throw to get a proper meaty timing. I even paused the video while watching at 25% speed and you can clearly see the st.LK startup but then gets kara cancelled into regular throw:

He said plus one. But he only counted startup and recovery of st.MP. Wouldn't you have to take the 2f active into account too? Which would mean you're negative 1.

Hmmm I actually think I saw this brought up before alex release. Or maybe you brought up this video before. Deja vu. Seems cool though. I doubt he can lead to something ridiculous but I wonder if capcom will change that. They did make an effort to get away from any sort of OS type stuff.

The first active frame and the last startup frame are the same thing. You'd be +/- 0 if you're right. @buyacushun

So, in that video he was actually neutral, which he actually admits on twitter as somebody corrected him. I'm not sure if there is a frame before the super flash or if he did his reversal too slow or what...

Anyway, I was messing with this a little and I don't think you can Kara a normal into another normal. Some other things didn't seem to kara, like sweeps. Not really sure at this point how it all works.

It's probably some kind of input priority system and it goes at least 1f into a normal activating. Because I'm almost positive the grab thing been brought up before. And it makes sense with how there's a few things in this game to make execution as easy as possible. So buttons probably have the least priority, and increases with things like special button inputs (grab, v-skill, trigger) and inputs (specials, supers, probably command normals.) Makes sense you can't get normals into normals to work. Especially since there is already a normal input priority system (where command normals might come in to play) and there is a cancel happening.

they should take cc state off guile's meterless flash kick. The 4f startup "invincible" frames don't warrant it to be CCable. I use quotation marks because the moves still trades with air moves. There's no good reason.

Either that or just make it fully invincible. Also give him the full 120 damage when he aas and not this 90 garbage. His Sobat is supposed to beat slides but consistently loses to them and should have airbone frames as he's literally in the air...
