WG isn't as viable as SG obviously, but I've yet to find an unplayable match up with WG. He's still got good matchups. I got 2nd place at a small tourney with WG only but I know thats not saying much. (i lost to smoke) Just have to rely more on sword quake to bait bad decisions "which is almost anything but backdash" I still get hate on psn for playing WG lol

Yea but before patch he could at least run in and counter poke with EX Overhead saw and get stuff for that, he doesn't have much to do once he gets in their face right away. Instead he'll probably just eat a projectile and start getting zoned again.
On top of that, losing B1 as a mid makes the up close game less scary for the opponent. Pre-patch, Kotal could completely change momentum once he got in. Now it's pretty whatever.

For GM and ancestral - utilize your zoning capabilities with sword oh/low/df2. Camp next to ice klone and bait a bad move. Throw out df2 w/e u feel a clone coming on. Df2 beats most of what kung jin can do on wakeup and puts you at a good distance on block. Id say its hard to fight them online, but with time, you'll have gm mains saying wg's too cold for the iceman
I think its 11 frames now and the string is only -1 now. Its a good tool but it doesnt really lead to anything. If your goal is be -1 then have at it. You can do the f1b2 string but its full combo punish on block and cant be hit confirmed (f12 or f1b2 after f1)
Hqt probably was 5-5 but now it'spretty tough for wg imo. It's much harder to get in when he chooses to zone. B1 being a high makes ur close game much less dangerous. Also predators xlose game is pretty scary, much scarier than kotals imo.
