Question Should people be upset by Tbagging?

"Is it a sign of bad sportsmanship?" Probably and that's likely the point. People are only doing it because it gets a reaction out of people. If people weren't allowing it to bother them so consistently then there wouldn't much of a point to it.

I get that it's some what of a standardized form of communication, I've never really understood why I should feel stupid because they look stupid. I really don't think anything about it, and I don't really need someone bobbing up and down to tell me if I'm any good or not.

When it comes to constant fatals and tea bagging I figure it's a lot more about them than me. I don't do either normally, but if they do a lot of that I kind of feel like "if that's the game we are playing then we can play that game." It's weird, but with some people it seems like they start to respect you more if you act like them.

Not always, and I've only ever tea bagged one player. Dude was really begging for it by doing it non-stop through several matches even though we were trading wins at the time. I shared some of the t-love when he lost to see what he would do. I got messages immediately telling me how I'm not allowed to because I suck, but he stopped doing it to me. He ended up with the most wins, so I guess he ended up with the bagging rights after all.

Yeah.....until you come around again in KOTH or hit the "rematch" button or something and they get trashed after you figured them out...and start bodying/tbagging back....they get real quiet or leave or get salty lol. Priceless.
Those folks certainly don't like getting a taste of their own medicine.

What I hate more than teabagging is when the opponent FINALLY wins a match and then immediately leaves...
The bugs the shit out of me too. Or vice versa. If I beat someone 3 games in a row, they take a win, and quit.

I couldn't care less about people teabagging it doesn't affect me at all. Honestly, if it's just a random online it just clues me into their psyche and I almost pity them in a way because it reads as pathetic to me. Or juvenile. In a set with a friend or in a tournament setting where everyone knows each other I think it's funny and in a way is like " ok guys I know that playing video games is very serious important business, but let's try and not take ourselves too seriously and remember it's supposed to be fun".

What really grinds my gears is people doing fatalities. When I win I'll throw a fan, d4, s1, whatever because I just want to keep playing. I feel like the majority of people I play have to do a fatality every single time. Yet, they're the same people who yank their fucking ethernet cable when beaten and leave me to stare at a frozen screen for 20 seconds. That's annoying. I get after a hard fought set doing a fatal or doing brutals whenever, but doing fatalities constantly is scrub shit. I was sick of the fatalities a month into the game's life.

Brutalities is where it's at anyway.

Personally I find it annoying not because I've been disrespected but because I don't understand why people can't just not be dicks to one another. Same thing with people writing "GG EZ" in chat, I really don't get why.
Exactly. If it's for fun and/or the person is your friend no prob, but don't go around acting like caveman, fucking karma dude, action reaction,Newton will tbag the shit outta you in the end,its guaranteed.Scar could do it,young Fox wouldnt be that jumpy & joyful.I'm glad that sexy skrillex flip him off,and get tbaged and destroyed, but flipp off is flipp off,I know it's not bad spirited, but let's not get too naive here, its a lil bit rude from Fox to tbag everyone and finally he get taste of his own medicine. #justforgags

Brutalities are awesome and are so well done in mkx, I never have a problem with them, they're especially cool when unexpected. I would never mind someone doing a brutal, I respect that many have difficult preconditions, and you have to sometimes work to maneuver the other player into a position to make it happen. There's actually some skill to it, and they are relatively quick and it's all good.

I main kitana so I'm constantly ending bnbs in throat slice and popping dem heads off. Shit is damn near quicker than beating someone and then jabbing them after.

But nothing is worse than watching some clown fumble around unintentionally teabagging, jumping or doing some dumb lil dance over and over until they manage to do some fatality that takes forever and that was barely cool the first time I saw it, let alone 1.5 years later. That shit is the worst. Casuals looooove their fatalities though. Big part of the myth and marketing of mk so I guess it is what it is.

I thought they were amazing when I was 10 or whatever playing mk 1 and 2 in the arcade, but it was also different because they were "secret" and passed on by word of mouth and you didn't see them too much. Now you can hit pause for the inputs and they're so expected and it has cheapened them to me.

The level of respect between random gamers is deplorable. Just because you can be an asshole doesn't mean you should.
Completely agree. But that goes to a larger issue online, especially when people have some degree on anonymity.

People get off on being cruel, or some do. I've actually come to sympathize with those people though, because I just figure that many feel powerless or frustrated in their lives and it's cathartic to wield some "power" or whatever.

You can learn a lot about someone by how they act online. I think it's partially an age and generational thing though. I'm 30+ and most people my age grew up without online, and then with it and for the most part seemed to be the same person online as they are off. I don't say things online that I wouldn't irl, nor do I get some boost or rush "trolling" nor do I rely on getting any and all attention that I crave by being a shit head online. I think a lot of younger people really separate who they are offline and how they act online, so maybe I'm just out of touch now.

I'll get beat by someone 5 or 6 times in a row, send them a ggs, maybe ask for advice or compliment something about their play and try and get more games later to level up. So few people seem to act that way though. I beat someone 2x, lost the third game, and the dude messaged me calling me a spammed and sent a video of the brutality he did on me with a "what happened??" caption. Like, for real? Fuck

I've always found the concept of 'teabagging' rather ridiculous, but couldn't really care less if someone else chooses to do it.

There's far too many other things in life to be stressed about to worry about something as inconsequential as that.

Here's my 2 cent.

Tbagging is lame. Much more lame than a pop off. A pop off that shows real emotion and isn't malicious towards the other competitor are the best.

What's more lame than tbagging, are the people who get way too offended by tbagging. They take it farther verbally than the tbag ever could of. That's super cringe. You don't have to be the bigger man, but just take the L lol.

You see people in Slayer's post and probably on this thread who are like that. They go "NAH BRO FUCK TBAGGING YOU DONT SEE JWONG OR CHRIS G DO IT KID".

Just chill out, man. They beat you, they can do whatever they want at the finish him screen. You decide how angry you get.

I think it ruins the online experience. If done among friends, that's one thing. Doing it to a random person just makes you a jerk. If someone teabags me, they better be sure that they will always win the rematch when I run into them again. If not, I will switch stance dance all over your ass, send a taunting message, and then block you. #pettygang

T-bagging is just sad to see. The fact that you get satisfaction and validation by pressing down really fast and thinking you're pissing me off just makes me feel bad for you lol. Just shows you how much self esteem some online people really have.

Its different for people that actually are just trolling or like sonic just to get to your head. I mean there's a trophy for it FFS xD But those that legitimately feel the need to tbag, that's pretty pathetic.

the thing i hate though is people who get mopped something-0, then keep re-matching until they win one match by like a pixel, then leave and call you "free". Like  what??
