I beleve 100% different han you on this topic.

I think yes they screwed alot of characters, but ata same time it was universal changes. so maybe its not a bad thing, then they very well might have done this to Prolong the life of the game and at same time tried to buff Zoning and other aspects and take away from Opressive Rushdown. and did it in a strange way ill admit.

But as of Today, noonw is a master of anycharacter. The meta is different. and the Tier list is none exsistant. untill we have more thsan a month of Practice with the actual new game. we can not say anything is bad or good. We have no clue what character is stronger than the next because everything is different. Think about it. With Stamina Nerfed, RC's and AA's Buffed and ARmored Launchers Nerfed. the meta is different. and Highs may be a strong tool with no option to EX Launch in Neutral? characters who lost mids may very well still be great. and same goes for everything. i was a little mad about EX Launchers being gone. But who knows it may make the game much more balanced and they might have brang Top to Mid and Bottom to Mid who knows?

NRS has always done Drastic patches. but maybe they got it right. think of things like MAny Shitty Variations are now Relevant, alot of Dirt is Gone. HTB's are Removed! thats right HTB's are gone. there is no Armor Breaks anymore because of the 2 Hit's of Armor Moves. yoiu can keep fullscreen opponents out, and possibly they can't run fullscreen and Combo you or mix you up, they very well might run out of Stamina before?


@YOMI REO @PND_Ketchup @Tanno @Apex Kano @scarsunseen and anyone else.

What do you guys think about:

Nerfed Stamina and how it effects the Zoning and Space Control?
Nerfed EX Launchers and how it effects the MEta?
Buffed AA's?
Double Hit Armors and how will that change game plan Wakeups, and MEta Strategy?


Also guys i think they might have added a few years of shit to the game. Combos to learn, Variaitons and Characters to relearn, New MEchanics to get used to. Zoning! and so much more with this patch and they are gonna do follow up patchs. Im hella excited. and i think it might be Great? whats your thoughts?

Interesting changes to inferno.

Looks like any hellfire run cancel stuff will be 2 frames less plus.

No more ex Tele wake-up armor :(

I wonder why they list Ninjutsu but it is blank...

All I know is I got what I wanted.
Balanced gets its EX OH launcher.
EX Spirit Charge gets buffed.
And EX Rising Karma gets tweaked to boot.

The guys said it right at the beginning of the broadcast: this patch was intended to change things drastically.
Better get in that lab and start taking notes, boys.

Oh, and as far as Kotal losing his mid is concerned, it still won't be as bad as Tremor losing both of his mids, one of his best zoning tools in Aftershock because of the Up Rock nerf, AND now Crystalline having to adapt to losing its armored launcher.

I dont think armor breaks are gone. Combine ex-bomb with F21...
iwaht about fast Double hitting Armors, i dont think F21 will hit fast enought to break it honestly even with bomb. but thats my opinion, but im sure between me and you we will find something ;)

So how is (Slasher) Jason now everybody? I haven't played much since I kinda got addicted to KI last December and have lost track of what has gone down since then for the most part outside of KP2 lol

Should I jump back in? Or has the game evolved to a point where it will be a major uphill battle for me to play with others online?

I found it funny, everyone at NRS was laughing on stream when Overexagerating fans where claiming a character OP broke or Top or Bottom tier. they wehre laughing at the fact that people are allready making tier list facts before they even get the full vision of the changes or that capability to try anything out, develop new MU numbers, or LEarn the new Mechanic or even see how everyone does in this new version of the game. ybut yeah tottally X character is Top or Bottom because of a nerf we havent even test right.

Did anyone else notice during the stream matches Mileena's roll still launched and was able to combo from it? Every time I've seen it launch it was from a Kounter hit roll. That tells me they gave moves Kounter hit properties.

(Edit)Nevermind the counter hit only. She still got a combo on a raw roll, no counter hit. I thought she wasn't suppose to be able to do that anymore?

It was only speculation from the gif we were given last week. It was confirmed early in the kombat kast it still launches meterless.

Yeah I realized it was the EX Roll that needs meter to followup. Kinda seems pointless to use EX roll since regular launches and is still fast.

Ice Klone setplay is now really different vs a lot of characters. That should help balance out Sub-Zero's buffs and the system changes that improved him.

Yeah he definitely needs to be careful and more mind games heavy. I wish they changed the block breaker requirement and the ex throws mid combo from being tech-able. 1 bar for a universal restand is reasonable to me.
