Mileena even if she has to spend a bar to Juggle from Roll, they might even buff F3 and make her Overhead quicker and that woul be another Launcher along with her DD3/B34/214 i think many forget she has other Launchers.

Quan is still a pick, even though OH SLash is MID i think they buffed his Zoning or something else. he wasn't even Broke, was very strong but not broke. i think he will rise.

Keep in mind, im not talking about Broke Characters, im Talking about A+ characters that have great tools and great frames. these characters have the ability to become top tier no matter how other perceive them. Its kinda funny, on TYM if Top players never called them Top tier or they are not used at EVO/ESL alot in top 8's many assume they can't be Top Tier, well this is where my opinion differs. like how many characters that where deemed Garbage at the start of the game, became top tier shortly after everyone figured out how to use them better and differently. i think many of these characters have the potential but lack the Player Drive.


Let me elaborate on Predator: i do not think he is broken and i know this is gonna sound Strnage, but i think Hunter is where its at. I compare characters to other characters tools that are similar. Brady Compared Hunter to Sub Zero GM. well im going to Compare Predator to Cyrax. Cyrax is a Setup Artist, there is plenty of time to escape all of his Setups. Well this is where Hunter and Cyrax differ.
Hunter vs Cyrax toolsets.

Cyrax has Bombs for setups and the bombs startup like 50+ frames, and Recovery is 70+ frames. thats really slow right. Well Hunter Trap starts up Very quick almost instantly, adn even normal one when thrown, is almost instant to catch opponent in the Area of Effect.

Hunter Trap has a bigger hitbox than Bombs and also doesx not have to be done with timing like Cyrax bombs.
Hunter wins with Hitbox of Setups
Hunter has a plethora of Overheads when Cyrax only has one Viable overhead and that B1 at 18 frames Startup. hunter has B3D4/122/32 and they are all faster than 18 frames. so Hunter wins there.
Hunter also wins in Lows
Hunter also wins in HTB timings.
Hunter also wins in MIDS
Hunter also winds in footsies
Hunter slso wins in Neutral
Hunter also wins in Big Leg
Hunter also wins in Plus frames his disk puts him Plus 10 on block.
Hunter also wins with Damage midscreen and Corner.

well thats my prediction. but anything can really happen.

hell the top now could stay top. they might get normalizations. but who knows with this community they may put a character in top tier becauise of one single tool they think is Broke.

It will be too balanced to say.

I don't know about you guys, but I want to see the full update before knowing who might be the true top tier, and that depends of their abilities against each other.

Actually I think tempest might be top tier again if they are universally nerfing 50/50's and they'll probably remove the dumb stuff like a list jailing too.

not even saying she is even close to broke, to be clear, just i think after the patch many moved from her and gave up and moved on to the next big thing.

I am guilty of leaving a few characters after Nerfs. i get it. iut discourages you and after putting in so much work learning a character you don't want to put in additional effort like that.

Example, even though i still use Cyrax. he is Abysmal in many aspects. not downplaying at all. i can compare him to many characters and they have what he has plus more.

But i learned so many combo's with Cyrax PrePAtch 3-29 and had hella cools etups, and strtegy, stagger moves and so on. i used many moves hit advantage to keep it going. i even had futher setups whn they where in net, i could throw out a coupke bombs when they where in net prepatch. all that stuff wnet away. 80% of my combos where gone, after patch. he could not Use net after Bomb connected, then to futher complicate it, the Bombs where limited in hoew many and rules to what could be done after eachopther. then the Net got a huge huge nerf, not only was the pushabck removed, but the Time that it held was reduced to 1/3rd opf the original time, and now it has a Flaw in it, that allows opponent to move and do shit while still being in net.
then all my stagger moves, well hit advantage of almost every move was castrated: 3/B3/B1/B3D4/B3U4/B3D4U3/1/11/F13/F21/F43/F4 all of those where changed to be almost half the Hit advantage. give or take a few. yep bet you didn't know that about cyrax. then he got a 25% meterless Damage Reduction on many combos i had Prepatch.
then lets talk about his great EX bomb starter's he had F21/1/11/111/F13/B1 xx BLK+DF3 starter.
whats sad is this does not even come close to explaining all the shit that happened to Cyrax on 3-29, there was many Stelth Nerfs and have been Unspoken and many don't even know the glaring obvious ones i listed above.

so yeah i gtte it when a character gets nerfed and you are discouraged and don't want to use them because they don't feel the same or good at all.

the thing is: Cyrax is very good, and a great character and the core. he does suffer from Abysmal Neutral and a few Bugs here and there to put it lightly, and is in Dire need of a Decent MID that don't act like a glorified high.
and im saying the same for Tanya. she did not get nbear what Cyrax got nerfed! but i still get the frustration. but i think after looking at her without biast eyes since i never used her before i could look at her through untainted eyes. and she looks very solid. goos character. Kobo and Naginata seem great. i may be missing some issues, many character shave wiffing issues. but yeah id say she is Slept on.

thats not gonna happen, they are toning dowen soem things on only characters that where considered top of top tier. i have no clue how TYM jumped from a couple nerfs to every character is getting mixups castrated. i get where you guys think it. but i think its a stretch to think everyone is getting 50/50's nerfed. thats not a patch thats an Overhaul and litterally changing the game's core mechanics and everything its been about since Day 1 for a Year Plus.

and yes Alist can be annoying but i think its fair @ismael4790 wouldnt you say Johnny does not fully jail you, that there is gaps that you can armor?

Why tf would they nerf quan's b2? It makes no sense unless they are nerfing 50/50's as a whole.Same reason that armor is probably getting changed a lot since why would they nerf ex claw swipe an essential tool for reptile's game plan and it's not like it even needs balancing so really they have to be nerfing armor overall. Also no, a list isn't just annoying play an a list that jails consistently AND staggers like there is so much you have to read against that dumb ass character and you have to respect him jailing which makes his staggers free to do whenever.

ill give you an example: of what im thinking:


O.K. for example, they could have Made his OH Slash/B2 a Mid because they somehow Buffed Zoning. and made him different somehow, and because of the new Tool-set he has, it would be Broke for him to have Mixups, on top of all the other stuff.

That's just one example. but we are kinda left in the dark, i cant say he got better zoning no more than you can say every character is getting Mixups nerfed until Patch Day. its all Speculation at best until Monday

as for the Armor one, that's Speculation but possible.

ill give another example, yes Claw swipe was very strong tool he had, but not his only option to launch: he also has F412/B2/Forceball/DB4 and other options. and in Nimble almost anything launches in Green Zone.

But like you I have no clue what they are doing to Reptile until patch releases? They may have buffed other things as well, who knows?

but 4 or 5 characters getting Armor launchers nerfed or mixup nerfed, does not indicate everyone is getting the same treatment in my view as of yet without more knowledge. It's Possible, but I'd like to believe that certain characters have toolsets unique that may be getting adjusted according to each Variation.
And what could help them strengthen what is unique to each character. If you get what i mean? Not saying your wrong, just saying i have a different theory and to me makes more sense than the entire cast being overhauled ?

yeah i knor right. they see one get nerfed and somehow TYM and community says all of them are nerfed, ohh how they jump to conclusions. they just nerfing what they are told are the top tier. and balancing the best they can, and then will buff the bottom, and hopfully will buff AA's and nerf JIP's that could be the best we can hope for. but everyone thinking Sub Zero's B2 and sonyas B1 was nerfed to be slower, is wrong, they slowed down the video to show the armor move on d'vorah and to show the other move with Sub. they are not nerfing Mixups universally, besides it ouldn't change anything to do so, we would still have to Read and guess anyways, thats just a part of fighters.

Truth be told, even though they have made mistakes, and over nerfed some like CSZ/Cyrax and over buffed some like, Mileena and Takeda. this has to be the most Balanced game NRS has made, and im confident Alien and the S tiers will be toned down. if you can call them true S tiers. i just hope they don't over nerf, Mileena/Sonya/Alien/Kano/D'Vorah/Takeda and Ermac. i want them to still be very good, just not over the top.

Armor not coming out on kounter hit. So possibly bums that mash armor rip.

It's not just about launching... It's about the mind games of is he going to armor after b34/regular claw swipe or basically any of his safe strings that's what makes it strong and an important tool to his game. Besides reptile of all characters getting an armor nerf is just weird they are most likely doing it for everyone.
