Hi all
Please do not Troll me, but in my opinion not everyone understand how the connection is important. I decided to give you an example:
1 sec = 60 frames (MKXL)
1 sec = 1000 ms (ping)
1000\60 = one frame is ~16,66
Example:
Player 1 have 60 ping, Player 2 have 170 ping >>
>>170ms-60ms=110ms difference
110/16,66 = 6,60 frames ( the difference in frames )
Of course here not taken into account the upload speed and lag. But still....
If someone does not agree with my calculation, write in this topic....
tank you for making this, if i may: i would like to add to it so others might understand it better, not many understand what Ping is and they are confused.

Your connection should be below 200 at all times to have a fun ,match. anything higher than that will feel underwater or laggy.

Your Upload/Download speeds do not matter at all. the required amount for MKXL is 3mbps Download and 0.75 Upload. in the US i know you should have above this with lowest Broadband provider.

Upload: is when you upload a DRV recorded clip to Youtube / Upload studio/One Drive. or when you upload info from your game to the server, not really gonna impact your performance.

Download: is just what it says, you download a game, Media/File, or when you play a player right before on the connection screen it downloads the info of both players. but this will not impact the performance of your gameplay, the loading screen could take longer with very low download speeds. but that isn't i big deal.

Ping: is what effects your performance in game, how long your button or combo takes to travel to your opponent/Server and back to you so you can see it in real time.

like he said: 1 second is 1000ms
1 Frame is 16.67ms on a 60fps game or movie.
so you connection on MKXL if it says 200ms divide that by 16.67 and you will know how many frames you are lagging.

PING
is the time it takes one device to communicate with another device far away and come back to your same device that sent it out. that is essentially the easiest way to describe Ping.

The highest amount you should have displaying on your XB1/PS4 on your Test is 40ms. and no more if its more all your matches will be around 100ms/200ms when you could have 60-80ms games. just saying.
i happen to live in the middle of the forest and mine is 40 now. so noone has an excuse. like i live far away from people towers, only have one Phone line going into my house, and trust me my signal is very weak from provider.

The Farther away from the provider you are, the less Bandwidth they can give you. like me the highest i can get is 20Download and 20Up. thats because im so far, they are not cheating me its a matter of Location.

There are several other things to factor problems online on MKXL. but i will show the most common ones below:

Wired vs Wifi
Most important is Wired Vs Wifi Rounters. Always Wire it up, Why should i Wire it you ask? because when you play on Wifi your connection has a fluctuation and can Spike. This is when you see a Yellow Caution symbol in the middle bottom of the match and shit goes slow. this is Rollback happening.

what they implamented was Rollback in a type of GGPO acatechture. what this means is both systems have to be near the same ping to play with each other. but if they change all the time, the system needs to Roll back to fix this and make if fair for both players.
this might be the dumbest way ive ever explained it but bear with me.

Wired has Zero Fluctuation and stays constant. so if you are at 200ms or 80ms you will stay there the entire match if both players are wired. well on Wifi this is not the case. the game will constantly Ping spike and you will have slow moments when it corrects it.

TV's vs Monitors
Another problem might be your TV/Monitor if you have not seen my posts before go to "Do Gaming Monitors make a difference thread". or whatever its called.
TV's and HDTV's are built differently and have differnt Chips/Processors that are built to deal with Sound and Picture quality over speed and generally work 30FPS disks. well the problem with this is games are now becoming 60FPS and TV's are just not where its at. if you want no Lag from your TV get a Gaming Monitor that is listed on Displaylag.com

Maybe @n1kosh can add this to his OP and take my name off it, as long as it helps others understand the truth it don't matter who it comes from?

Remember those who don't understand Computer and router Science!

Wired Always
Upload and Download Don't Matter
Ping is the most important Call provider and try to lower your Xb1/PS4 ping on multiplayer as much as you can.
Get a Gaming Monitor and only use your TV for Movies. i don't care if your HDTV is a 2017 new model with Gamemode it sucks 99% of the time and has Lag they are built to do different things.

@Tanno @n1kosh

Other things that LAg:

Controllers have lag if you have a off brand controller it prabably causes anywhere from 20ms to 3ms lag.

Converters, like one that makes a PS4 controller or PS3 work on XB1. BRook Converters have less than 2ms. so they are good. and get my seal of approval.

TVs/Monitors have alot of lag.

Cables: yep if you have the Wrong Ethernet Cable and a to long one, it will Cause Delay / Lag. but if you have a Twisted Shielded Cat6/5 you should be fine.
EDIT: don't get ones that are unshielded certain things in every house can cause MAgnetic interfierance with Those cables. no joke and could cause loss or mixure of data causeing Lag Spikes.

and many more things, but you should be fine if you listen to what i and N1Kosh have said.

hey @Immortal i seem to remember you saying something about Ping in another thread and you had a very good example, like a story to explaine it to others who didn't understand, you think you can help some people understand how Ping Works and why iys importanmt to lower it for Online Game Play?

Wasnt it a Ball Rolling down hill? it was good and it stuck. good work by the way

maybe you can tell them some other things as well, i remember you know quit a bit about this subject. Just thought id give a shout out:)

I only wish to live in a world that no fucking internet provider downgrades the connections on everybody, so that we could play altogether without region locking issues.
