i think kano cibernetic can do many things... but the best, is his spacing and rusher main... kano is like mk9 character, but better, and in a game full of 50/50, kano cibernetic has a game same as mk9... spacing, pressure to open windows and punish... the zoning game is good, but its better pressure.. and if you have good footsie, this kano cibernetic, its a good choice to win in this game

Cybernetic is not a pressure character. Him getting +5 off of ex knives (which really you shouldn't be spending meter on that much in the first place) doesn't warrant him being good at pressure. He's best played between midscreen and full screen, he has good footsie tools (like a 7 frame D3 and D4 with good range., F4, B2, B13) and ok zoning and damage.

I've made a Cybernetic guide in the Resources tab of TYM if you want to give it a look @CrazyFingers , not completely finished yet but the basics are there.

I remember seeing that, it really made me want to use Cybernetic really well written btw. I just wanted confirmation on how this guy played. I've always had trouble opening people up with him tho which seems to be common

Thanks :) There might be a specific archetype of character that he falls under but in the end everyone ends up playing him differently so it doesn't always matter hugely how you play him, but he's better when playing neutral since he has good ranged normals. And the mixups part of my guide goes over different types of ways you can open your opponent up.

Thanks :) There might be a specific archetype of character that he falls under but in the end everyone ends up playing him differently so it doesn't always matter hugely how you play him, but he's better when playing neutral since he has good ranged normals. And the mixups part of my guide goes over different types of ways you can open your opponent up.
Do you go over his post grab game? Cuz I went into practice a bit and looked at the character and his post grab game seems pretty solid. You're in perfect range for B2. You can zone. It puts him at what I assume is his ideal distance from the enemy.

Post grab as in his throw/1+3/L1/LB? I haven't been over it in mine but I haven't finished it yet, plus that's not really to do with opening them up lol.

Yea I mean his throw and I know it doesn't really have to do with opening a person up (other than the bit where you land the grab) I was just curious cuz Post Grab scenarios is something I rarely seen talked about in this game at all

Oh man. Awesome showcase of cybernatic Fenix! You used litetally all, all tools this char has. Enjoyed it. I would suggest to use more tripguard with b13 cuz players tend to jump in right before Kano to not get AAed by godlike b1 or they do JIK to beat it, than you can start tripguarding like crazy with b13. Also noticed you using 112-knife as an ender. Which brings new mindgame to the table, will you throw, will you do b13, will you bait armor. I noticed that D'Vorah guy backdashed throw attempt all the time. Just use f4-eyelaser or b23-eyelaser to catch and punnish backdash next time.

thanks... to backdash i do just like you say, but in this case, the back jump of dvora is good, so some times can punish kano, because have good hitbox dvora in his jumps, neutral and back...

I don't understand Cyber patch changes. Why he lose useless EX laser armor to have a +4 on block, Ok why not but we have EX knifes 3 hits with +5 on block. So what the point of EX laser? They could better make that EX laser can still hold in a combo after regular laser

Well, basicly if you manage to catch them with it, you get more dmg than knives (24%) and also you could finish with knife isntead of ball (112-knife). The EX laser armor was useful in some situations to end the other person pressure. Now with the new +5 I can follow up with multiple of choices, especially by thw corner. Kano B1 is already hella fast, so do this afterward you might connect the hit. Or follow up aith a throw

It's a true block string normally, that's why you can't surprise people, only if they poke without seeing that you used ex move

Actually, I think people SHOULD be spending bar on MB Knives more often. With armored launchers not being as big of a problem, +5 isn't bad.

More importantly, doing something like 122 MB Knives does pretty solid chip damage.

Couple that with armor breaking properties (even 2 hit armor), and you have one of Cyber's best EX Moves.

These days, I keep my combos meterless unless I'm in the corner so I can use bar for EX Knives.

If they start to lowprofile with d3, d4, then you can full combo punnish them with b31-laser. Its because b3 lowcrushes d3s and d4s. So next time they will stop doing it and you can continue doing b1.

You should be able to throw if you're at +5.

Who are the characters that have 6/7f d4s that can do this? What 6/7f d1s low profile this? List and I will see who can do this from point blank. Even if what you're saying is true, you could always iaBall to beat that option. No one is reacting to lowest point iaBall, especially if they've committed to a button already.

Also, the only time you should be using meter on combos is in the corner, imo. The damage you get midscreen isn't the worth it, unless you're behind on life.
