Question - Predator Final Patch?! - What should be changed?

As others pointed out plasma barrage having armor would be WAY stronger than scimitar having double armor, and you called the latter suggestion crazy. I honestly agree that scimitar shouldn't have armor, but your suggestion would be straight up broken.

Honestly, let him have his poor wakeup. No reason to homogenize the cast. Let him retain his strengths and weaknesses, both.

If plasma barrage was around minus 5 but had armor that would be fine. It would really boost Predator's zoning in the zoning variation. HQT would still have considerable weaknesses, it wouldn't break him.

Scemitar slam should stay the same. It's not for waking up, it for trading with a projectile for a full combo on a read.

Right now if Predator gets cornered by a character with a good corner game or good pressure, it could be curtains.

Fair enough

We don't want another Piercing Mileena now that I think of it in hindsight.

The reason I suggested the former was crazy was because of the properties of his universal armor.

What would be fair buffs then?

Predator as a base character is buns, it's the variation specific stuff of HQT that makes him good. If the HQT specific stuff was slightly adjusted, than Predator's universal tools could be touched up without making him too dumb.

no and no. let's give the character with the fastest projectiles a faster walk speed? nope especially since it won't really help the other two. and no his cancels are perfectly fine the way they are anything more would be too much

then at least make his low plasma -6 instead of -7, so casie and lao cant full combo punish him every time he tries to play his upclose game.

They should add in opponent specific brutalities and fatalities. What would be better than ripping off Alien's tail and beating it with it or killing Kung Lao with his hat and then trying it on and doing a Kung Lao pose?

They should at least fix his 21 string so no one can armor it on crouch block. Feels like Kotal Kahn all over again.

I dunno to me hqt preds seems like he is in a good position right now, he is a really good character can viably play keep away, has some solid rushdown without it being batshit crazy, some really good buttons, etc. I think hqt predator should be left alone. Any more tinkering and he will either be too weak or too strong.

I am Fine with Scimitar Stab Having Two Hits Of Armor. Go for it and add that. seems cool to me. But id like some buffs to Warrior, to me that is the Real Predator, and should get some buffs. it kinda sucks, and needs some Love, that Explode move is really hards to get out and cost health make the damn thing easier to get out for the love of MK. and make Pounce faster on startup it take a Year to startup now. and then i think he would be great.

it's very hard to input the reversal because the low plasma has very small block stun. noone has ever punished that

could still do it on a read.

just saying, they could make that -6, would be great.

Either make scimitar stab 5-10 frames faster or make it a little less negative on block but still combo punishable (-9 or -10)

Thats actually....... a VERY COOL idea! Imagine taking Sonya's grenades and blowing her up, slicing kitana with her own fans, Shooting Cassie in the face with her gun etc.

MK is a trolling game made by a troll - with nothing but love and respect for both the franchise and its creator.

It just fits.

They should have stricter rules to do them though - like Friendships and Babalities for older MKs - like you need to not block or achieve victory within specified requirements.

Agreed. After said requirements are fufilled, hit the "troll button" L2.

Change stance switch mid match to a taunt and on the finish him/her screen the troll fatality

Some need to be variation specific though. Killing War God with his own sword or busting Sub Zero's neck by hitting him with his clone would be great. How about cutting up Ronin with his own light saber? The ideas could be endless.

holy crap some of these suggestions are insane. Predator is very good still, There's just a few things I want changed.


-Fix the glitch where on hit his low laser hitbox disappears.

-(dont know if intended) but make it so you can't armor through 2,1 for god sakes. I think this only happens on crouching opponents and at certain distances but holy shit why is this a thing I've lost tournament matches on this.

His armor is fine, he deserves to be weak upclose cause his keepaway is actually good, his rushdown is okay as well but I wish they never nerfed the cancels so hard. Pretty annoying that you can to be nearly perfect to beat out pokes in a lot of situations. If anything make it so his d1 is 6 frames but definitely no double armor that would make him incredibly braindead.
