How about nerf those plus on block strings without hurt-box?. If you have not hurt-box is illogical to this thing be plus on block, like Takeda Dark Vader swings.

I hope every fucking attack in Injustice 2 is negative. I hope some characters get autoparried and lose health if they press certain buttons while the enemy is blocking.
This might happen tbh. NRS tends to go polar opposite in the next game when the community doesn't like something in a previous one. In mk9 jumping was really weak so in mkx they made it overpowered. Zoning was too good in injustice so they tried to make mkx all rushdown. Watch injustice 2 have no 50/50s or no safe moves whatsoever lol.

Cuck Jin can be a little infuriating but it's really not the dumbest thing. If NJPs weren't so stupid like that it wouldn't be a problem. If they were all normal ones like Scoripn, Cage, Sub, Liu, etc then being plus would be no issue.

Jump attacks being plus when done close to the ground has always been a thing. This is no different in MKX.

What doesn't make sense is when jump attacks done on the way up are blocked and the offender is immediately brought back to the ground, at plus frames, to continue pressure. That is unusual and needs to be looked at. Characters who can abuse this that come to mind are Jax, Mileena, Sub-Zero and Kung Jin (yes, I know there's others).

If you're already knocked down and the player performs a meaty NJP or NJK, you have to hold that. In the last Mortal Kombat title, if you knocked someone down, you had to guess between invincible wake-up or no wake-up, regardless of meter. I wonder if you all would prefer to deal with that instead? At least when it comes to MKX's wake-ups, you have a chance at breaking through their armor.

I also agree about the anti-air comments being part of the reason that this is complained about. Either the hitboxes on grounded normals need to be improved or the priority on jump attacks needs lessening.
 
He's already got you on your back in the corner, you were already getting bodied. Njps/njks are low priority on the list of things to change
Takeda has good side switching and mobility. I do not agree with your comment. I have played red raptor a lot. Like the kid is a machine and will play you for 100s of games. I do think the tech is strong. Not broken though. If you guess right vs takeda at least you get your turn back in this version, for the most part.

I am not a fan of the default comments where you avoid speaking on the topic and just saying, "you were getting bodied anyways so who cares."

This is true. Really a universal thing for most fighting games. It has to do with block stun. If you decrease the block stun so deep jump attacks had a gap to follow up pressure then what happens when you hit them stand blocking in the head? You would likely get punished for a blocked jumping attack.

i dont think the frame data would go from like +7 on the feet to -9 at the head (or whatever you'd consider properly unsafe). Even if it did you'd have to be super on point to punish and react to the differing height. Seems legit.

Better than scorpions current ridiculous j3 which is + a billion and unantiairable by half the cast. There shouldnt be any jumping attacks you pretty much have to trip guard and are plus if you block.
 
Launchers that are plus, and a lot of them are amazing neutral jump punches like Kung Jin's, Takeda's, Triborg's, etc. So... launchers that are plus on block and have amazing hitbox... :confused:
I always have said njps are the most brain dead moves in the game, they literally do everything. They high profile, they are fast,they move your hurt box, the are overheads, they are safe, they are air to airs, they are plus, they can jail, they are launchers, they are pokes (if they are good enough they'll be your poke)and they are hard to anti air. Njps are the perfect answer to almost any situation and them being so plus is just the icing on the cake. They need to be used for air to airs not all this bullshit.
