Street Fighter V General Discussion

this guy is top 50 now and has been RQtting like 80% of his games basically all the games he has lost so far on his way to super diamond and guess how many reports are there of him?
only 1. this is ridiculous, its like no one cares, oh wait no one cares because capcom doesn't care...
shows how many ppl in this community actually cares about reporting these kind of frauds
that's why the majority of cheaters in SFV will always get away without any punishment

I got a feeling even by the end of 2017 I will prob. say the same stuff over and over because nothing will get changed
You just answered your own question. A better question would be why should you care about a company who does not care about that aspect of the game?

Undeadjim

Green Lantern Corps.
Always fun to see Myles complaining lol. Anyone who wants to play Urien add me up on CFN (ED_Undeadjim) or PSN (Undeadjim) or to play my Sim/Guile also if you fancy.

I said Ibuki can get thrown out of her airborne overhead. You then confirmed she could and started rambling about Ryus overhead
Yes but your tone made it seem like an awful overhead. My point was that all it takes for the overhead to work is for someone to throw 2 frames after you start the overhead. I didn't feel the need to explain to you that it'd be weird to use the overhead where your opponent had already started throw. And that it basically works like the popular shimmy tactic but also hopping over lows. And start a combo.

Me "rambling" was comparing it to Ryu's overhead which is vulnerable to throws and lows and gets no combo.

It be pretty crazy if it was throw and low invincible all the way through.

But Ryu can combo off his overhead dawg. 400 dmg too.

apparently the native input delay for sfv on ps4 is now 6.5 frames

Why don't you go to WNF?

There's no such things as bad habits when it comes to the stick you use. It's whatever feels comfortable. I grew up on bat-tops and circle gates at the arcade but it turns out I prefer square gates and ball tops. I never felt like there was any bad habits to change.
i have to maintain my ultra diamond status cant waste time going outside

I use a square gate too. When I was learning to use stick after getting comfortable with it, I was told not to "ride the gate" (This is only for square gates) but to find the distance where you can push the stick in a certain direction to where you can activate microswitches to move the character. By doing this, you are making smaller movements and it is more efficient. I do not know much about Circle and Octagon gate but they are supposed to be better for riding the gate but like you said, it is all about the preference.
It depends more on the actual stick as far as riding the gate. Like, you could have a square gate with a really short throw, and in that case, riding the gate is fine because you have such a short distance to travel. Or you could have a square gate with a long throw but with shorter microswitches and it could be super springy, so you need to learn the distance.

I think the main point was that whatever stick you prefer, use that stick and don't worry if that stick is teaching you bad habits for other sticks because you aren't using other sticks, you're using your stick. Do you think hitbox players are worried about riding the gate? Of course not. They just push buttons and try to figure out their device to the best of their ability.

It was always 7 frames for DS4 and legacy controllers. Third party wired controllers were getting an extra frame of latency for some reason so they really just fixed that small issue.

Ultra Diamond? That's great but getting top 5 at WNF would really say something.

@MylesWright_

I'll be back 3ing
Uriens frame data is done: http://toolassisted.github.io/OKI/#URN/92/38/33/1,0,0,0,/1,0,0,0,/1,0,0,0,/1,0,0,0,/1,0,0,0,/1,0,0,0,/1,0,0,0,/

Ibukis overhead should be compared to Chun-Li air legs not other overheads

Urien getting counter hit by jump-ins trying to anti-air when there's characters with fully invincible dps that don't even use it to anti-air
I feel like Urien's aa's are fine. He's got one for every situation and he can combo off his cr.HP for good damage. Between f.MP, st.MP, cr.HP and st.HK, he's got all the angles covered. Reminds me of SF4, where you just had to press the right button for each situation. None of this one stop shop aa jab BS.

It depends on the testing doesn't it. I think the display lag tests would consider the overall input lag. Either way 8.2 frames to 6.5 frames is nice.

How?

Why? What's the comparison to you?
its unreasonably hard to do but I've got a setup for it off CC sweep. Gotta hit it meaty on the last frame AND have it be a counter hit. You can combo it into st lk xx hp dp xx CA for 399 dmg. It's not optimal, and it's a super hard read, but it's kinda swaggy. Seeing as Ryu can get 400 damage with just trigger off a similar setup using st hk there's no reason to ever go for that.
