I think a lot of props should maybe just come down to who you played, in the end, because yeah I guess people will never settle on what event is what. Some people probably think only EVO is a major.

Like for example, Absolute Battle was a regional, but @Rude was kept from getting out of pools by 2ez who is good enough to get top 8 at majors. It's not like he was kept down by regional players.
The only thing that kept Absolute Battle from being considered a Major is more out of state top players traveling. If Hayatei Sonic and Dragon traveled to Absolute Battle it would have a strong case to be considered a Major in comparison to other tournaments as of late. The texas boys are all strong players, but they don't travel enough other than Scar. Coosco Alex Ominous and Korey all are strong enough to get top 8 at Majors. I'd even argue people drowned in pools that would make it out at other regionals maybe even majors. For example: Did you know 2ez barely escaped drowning in pools at Absolute Battle? It came down to game 5 and last round. Not only that it was last hit. The jax player tried ground pound, but 2ez's teleport hit just before his ground pound would've and won. This is irrelevant I just wish that set was streamed because it was hype as fuk. It's a shame how not all top players can travel and they're not considered to be top players because they don't travel.

Edit: The point is those Regional players are better than what you're expecting from regional players. Hell even at MSC (Which was more local in numbers lol) had a local guy send 2ez to losers.
Strong texas boys: Starcharger Coosco GnarlyGatoAlex Koreythedragon Ominous ILL Stylez(finished 9th at AB7 and it was his first showing) Scar KH Royal, Malo(Finished 9th lost to Korey 3-2 and beat starcharger only for starcharger to run it back in losers finals)

Your hole is mine!
I got hit up by Kay9 the other day about how he's on ps4 now. There are only a few players left who just own xbox ones and are good at the game. None are named GangstaFace.
I can't believe people are liking this shit, your head must have inflated to the size of fucking Jupiter by now with all this crap you've been saying.

Blowing up the haters is all cool, you deserve all the props you get. But stop being an ass hole. You made top 8 at one major and now you're throwing shade at people who play the game for fun and might want to go to a major, for dumb reasons, just like people were to you before you went to a major. You're such a hypocrite it hurts my head to read some of this shit.

Be confident, not an asshole.

Coosco, Ominous, and Korey had all placed top 8 at a major or two before, for the record.

After 9 pages of "statements" read, several things seem apparent. Conflict derived from trash talk, call outs, rants and loyalty/rivalry is good for competition, entertainment, story lines and history. But attacking the legacy of players, which is the definitive factor in determining greatness, reveals a lack of respect to the FGC. A lack of respect stems from a lack of understanding.
That's all savages.;)
P.S: S.FL & EVB will be all you see in Injustice 2.

I like how you mention Texas but forgot StarGazer (the best next to scar), Beef Supreme, Toni, Perm, spradling, ATP, etc etc.

Who wanna get smashed by team Texas

I did forget ATP bc he didn't play at AB7 he did commentary instead. Same for Toki Toki

Perm is good but I haven't seen him beat the guys I named in the first list not saying he can't because he's good af.

The difference between someone like King Hippo, or 16bit, and I, is that you don't have to tell me who is good, because I actually play the game.

When Ominous had Scar on the ropes, I wasn't surprised. I play all of these people.

What someone like Hippo or Bit fails to understand, is that someone who made top 8 earlier this year, or in 2015, may not be as good as someone who for example, got 9th at TCW last week.

Dizzy for example hasn't entered a tournament since November of last year? Yet he's more credible than Cossner or 2ez right now? Okay lol.

LOL I just read the SRK rankings for myself.

Justin Wong > Ominous and Semiiij CONFIRMED

Lol you cannot use these rankings to judge current events. Just no lol wtf.

Dizzy is 100000000 times more credible than me and od2ez.
Can I play him in FT10 for his SRK spot?

Well obviously not, because all of his points were earned very early in the game's life. Right now he's not a super credible opponent, like you or 2ez.

My point is that SRK =/= current rankings, or a way to judge a current event.

Even tho it did happen very early, Dizzy won a major and is still probably one of the better Cages tbh. I fully understand your point, but it makes sense why he is higher than Cossner. I definitely respect Cossner but winning a major at any point in the games life should count more than a top 8 or two. Maybe he isn't a better player now(which may or may not even be true) but he should definitely be ranked higher out of accomplishments in game which is what SRK should ideally be.

Not talking about all time, talking about current.

There are guys who got top 8s earlier this year that can't hold a candle to guys who almost get top 8 now. Times change, people play less, other people get better.

Tbh I could probably win 3 majors in a row, and if there isn't another EVO/ESL, I couldn't break the top 15 all time. That's fine, but all time doesn't determine what a major is right now.

I'm not arguing who is better than who or what a major is, my job isn't to pump up anyone or discredit anyone.

But SRK is supposed to be based on placing and with Dizzy winning Combo Breaker last year, it logically makes sense why he is higher from an objective standpoint. It doesn't mean he is better than Cossner, or 2ez, or you, or kevo, or whoever but it makes logical sense why he is placed where he is due to his more prestigious accomplishments. You can't discredit it due to being early in the games life cycle the same why people can't discredit you for it being late.

I'm not discrediting anything.

I'm saying that SRK isn't current, it's all time.
