Street Fighter V General Discussion

I'll be back 3ing
Im actually surprised that 3f Jabs and Inv DPs are not on that bingo board lol.
If you want I can complete it for you.
All of it has likely been mentioned at one time or another in this thread. Me being bad because I don't like something, the game being honest +balanced and 8f not making a difference definitely have all come up

You're not bad for disliking things, you're bad for thinking it's the game that's stoping you from winning.

The game is honest and pretty well balanced. almost all the characters have won majors and had top 8s.

And 8f is obviously different from 4 frames, but it's also not why you're losing. You probably lose a round once in awhile because you react a few frames late, but generally you're not losing sets because of it.

What the hell is this stuff about Capcom and Rootkits stuff for the PC. Wheres is that guy who posts the updates of Capcom developments here and why does he not post about that?

There's nothing I can reply to this with that I haven't already said before so listen to Xian: https://www.reddit.com/r/StreetFighter/comments/548imu/i_am_rzr_xian_former_evo_champion_for_street/

Features many quotes such as:

"Difference in strength between top tier and low tier characters are quite huge. What make it worse is low-mid tier characters has longer learning curve compare to top tier."

"SFV is more preemptive footsies and where you press things earlier and predict and buffering more. A mix between dash and jump is really hard to react so people dont enjoy the way they lose now. The game feels really dull and not precise. It make you wonder if you lost because you guessed wrong or simply pushed your buttons too late. In short, you're NOT in control of your game at 100 %. You cannot react to certain things (try to punish Nash dash on reaction for example, it's impossible). But I think online is much better to practice because of simplicity in the game too."

And he's won CPT events with FANG, got second at another stacked event with Ibuki, and placed top 8 at EVO this year.
OMG! XIAN IS AN ALIEN!!

Please Xian, can you play balanced Kenshi and place top 8?

Rip Torn

ALL I HAVE IS THE GREEN.
this guy also goes to wnf
Why don't you go to WNF?

Not necessarily, I suppose its ok if you are starting out but it will end teaching you bad habits because you are essentially "riding the gate" You actually need to learn the range of movement needed to hit the switches in your stick.
There's no such things as bad habits when it comes to the stick you use. It's whatever feels comfortable. I grew up on bat-tops and circle gates at the arcade but it turns out I prefer square gates and ball tops. I never felt like there was any bad habits to change.

He says that F.A.N.G is weak himself. Why don't you believe him?
I have no issue with xian thinking FANG is weak. My point that pretty much I've always made, and proved with facts and results by Xian himself is that every character, even FANG is viable. Not everyone has Xian's skill level, but once anyone places top 8 at EVO and wins other events and places high on every event with the same character then that proves how viable he is.

I use a square gate too. When I was learning to use stick after getting comfortable with it, I was told not to "ride the gate" (This is only for square gates) but to find the distance where you can push the stick in a certain direction to where you can activate microswitches to move the character. By doing this, you are making smaller movements and it is more efficient. I do not know much about Circle and Octagon gate but they are supposed to be better for riding the gate but like you said, it is all about the preference.

weaker than top tiers isn't what you call fang. You call him unplayable. There's a world of difference between the two statements.

Also xian got 9th at Evo @ILuvFightGames.
Exactly what I've been saying to Myles all this time, but I guess he just chooses to ignore all the hard evidence. Ok well 9th at EVO is legendary when you consider some people claiming FANG is unplayable.

this guy is top 50 now and has been RQtting like 80% of his games basically all the games he has lost so far on his way to super diamond and guess how many reports are there of him?
only 1. this is ridiculous, its like no one cares, oh wait no one cares because capcom doesn't care...
shows how many ppl in this community actually cares about reporting these kind of frauds
that's why the majority of cheaters in SFV will always get away without any punishment

I got a feeling even by the end of 2017 I will prob. say the same stuff over and over because nothing will get changed

I don't understand why these cheaters do that. I mean they can RQ all they want and all their lives and get good rankings but so? They ain't winning Evo anytime soon, or any event for that matter. What's the point of having a good rank when inside they know they cheated their way through the ranks? I mean deep down they know they're cheaters and scrubs, whenever they see anything to do with SF 5 I know deep down they feel empty.
