Use this thread to discuss all speculation relating to DC's resident sorcerer supreme.



What will his playstyle be? Will he float above the ground like a boss?

For me, personally, I'd love for this to be the Kent Nelson Dr. Fate.
I can imagine his attacks to be long-range/projectile based. I wouldn't be against him playing physical to a degree, either.

I'm thinking Spectral Ermac meets Black Adam! So tools like: float, teleport, trait to extend combos or restand (do we even know if traits are coming back?), decent zoning. Thoughts?

That's probably a good combination of playstyles. A teleport seems really fitting.
I wonder if the 'gear' will be character specific, so he'd get magic related pieces of armor, etc

Gotta be a no brainer that Dr. Fate flys, floats, and teleports. I mean it's Dr. Fate lol.

On top of that I think he'll have a magic move that traps opponents, a trance like move, a magical shield of some sort against projectiles, and good defensive zoning. Not in a pew pew pew way, but in a magical moves for space control and traps way. More of a Lex style than Sinestro style.

His trait should be very interesting.

His trait will be summoning Spectre.

Hands down a space fontrol character with ass-slow normals ,(however), he'll have everythin, overheads/lows, frame traps, a trance or capture special, ok zoning, teleports, floats, slow projectiles into a side switch tele-float. Yep. Sign me up....what I look forward to most is a ExKanoBackdash overall tho.

Kicking out the queen for a taste of fate. Sign me up. Gonna lab this guy heavily along with Swamp Thing and Scarecrow.

I thought he did for a second, but I am not sure because it looks like Doctor's red aura changed the qualities of his own specials and wasn't draining any health. If he does indeed steal specials = instaMain, because that is like my thing in all of nrs games, but right now it looks more like Fate's own boost move)
