It's a noble suggestion, but NRS could never publish a game as big as MK. Even Dive Kick needed a publisher to be profitable.
This noble suggestion has been a reality by very few studios, who happened to publish their own games. IMO, it's not right for the publishers to get all the cash and the decisions, while the devs, who created them with their blood and sweat, get to be paid less and say nothing about it. This has been an issue for some time now.
Again, heroic nonsense. Triple A titles don't get self published. Almost no games do anymore. Wether its steam greenlight, crowdfunding, g2g or gamejolt, someone puts the financial burden on their back. What they lack as devs to publish the game is the industrial mind. They need someone independent in their studio to help publish the game. To know all this shit about the Agora.
I sympathize with the devs doing all this hard work. This is why I stopped being a pirate. I only pirate the consoles, not the games themselves.
It's true and I agree 100% with you, bro. I'm OK with the good part. I loathe the bad part. If I want, I simply have to ignore them and not buy any ounce from their products.
I appreciate your sentiment. I am sure you are doing what you think is right, unfortunately piracy (in games at least) only hurts the people you want to support. The fat cats will not lose a dime or an ounce of sleep, they will only take it from someone else.

Those are the very few I mentioned in previous post that made this a reality. The problem are the other companies that are dependent to the big publishers, like WB, Sony, Microsoft. If they had independent marketing and industrial people, they would, of course, say a "fuck off" to the big publishers.
Since im involved with the first one i can tell you that while now we do publish almost everything ourself that wasn't the case until W3. And still we made a deal with WB to distribute the game in NA and Bandai Namco to other regions (thou that backfired badly).
Interesting story. Well, this is what happens when you are depending on others. I heard a similar story about Atlus and Europe.

My fav company, my fav series of books and games... Dude I can't wait for CP2077, already put over 500hrs in Witcher 3 and like over 1000hrs in the whole trilogy on my GoG account. I also chose GoG over Steam to fully support CDPR.
Also if Geralt would have appeared in MKXL to "solve monster problems" with Mileena, Reptile and others - He would have been my Instant day1-4ever main lol.
I can already imagine 3 variations for Geralt:
1) Swordsman - pure melee gameplay with long reaching normals/mixups.
2) Alchemist - potions and oils for blades (like BO's healing etc or Kotal's totems)
3) Sign master - magic, projectiles
I already know I would use "Hanged Man's" oil against humanoid MK chars and "Elementa" oil against my boi Tremor

The Steam DB updates are happening on the core game, not the Beta.
So I hope we all enjoy the complete version of the game soon.
