Ultimate Tenkaichi was what drove me away from Xenoverse, this one seems pretty different from the others tho, hopefully its competitive.If it really feels like BT3, I might dive into it,every DBZ game that came out after BD3 was quite dissapointing.
I feel you, but why ditch the tenkaichi system if it worked good, the problem wasn't the Tenkaichi System imo, it was the fact that BT3 was designed towards competitive fighting, and they achieved that, every other DBZ game after that and before this one was not.They need to abandon this effin' Tenkaichi battle system and revisit the Budokai series and build off of that. =|
I'm still skeptical about this game 'cause Xenoverse was one of the worst $60 purchases I've ever made. I was so disappointed with that game. The last one that made me that disappointed was Raging Blast.
Exactly this. Make Budokai 4 have the same type of world map/exploration as Budokai 3 and really soup up the battle system. Gimme, gimme! Budokai 3 was my absolute favorite.I don't know why they don't make a budokai 4. It has so much potential to be great. I've been itching for a good 2D DBZ fighter that I can play competitively.
Doesn't look like it's going to happen any time soon ;-;
I suggested ditching it because I'm really not a fan of it. Not to say I'd prefer the game to be on a 2D plane like the Budokai games, but I'd like the battle system to be based around it and modified (possibly heavily).I feel you, but why ditch the tenkaichi system if it worked good, the problem wasn't the Tenkaichi System imo, it was the fact that BT3 was designed towards competitive fighting, and they achieved that, every other DBZ game after that and before this one was not.
Raging Blast was ass, Ultimate Tenkaichi was one of the worse, Xenoverse there was running away, this time they've put some things to actually allow epic battles just like in BT3.
For example, there is Stamina in the game that allows for guarding and use vanishing, and now charge attacks can break your stamina, if this happens you will be open for a while until you take enough damage to regain stamina to escape.
I really just hope that power guard, and body blows that stuns are still in the game as well as the directional guards and charging Ki is still as unsafe as it was in BT3.
Yeah, DBZ as an airdasher style fighter is probably the best way to take DBZ in fighting games, honestly.I think it'd be cool if the studio picked up hyper dragon ball z and made it into an official game with updated graphics
What about the actual best game thoughYeah, DBZ as an airdasher style fighter is probably the best way to take DBZ in fighting games, honestly.
Super DBZ was fun, but man, DBZ fighters during the PS2 generation were so grind heavy before you could even play the game competitively. It's such a lost gem, though.What about the actual best game though
