Thanks for the vid lord Shazz. Crouch walk? Wont you get hit by there cross up attack? Especially the pos Ryu's



Shazzy had a pretty good Balrog when he first came out you could ask him. Did you take a round off smug?
you can complain about Ryu all you want, but he probably has the worst matchup chart out of all the top tiers. He's strong but it's not like he's beating any characters 7-3. This isn't me saying the character is bad, just that he's honest and has more 5/5 or 5.5/4.5 matchups than any other character in the game. Even the low tiers generally have decent matchups vs him since he's who they're balanced around.
 
Only thing I think they should do to AA jabs is make the flip out fall faster so you can't dash under.
id prefer if heavy air attacks just crush countered lights every time. So you could go for the jab on a read to get the mixup, or get punished for 400 dmg.

Honestly, I like the idea of not being able to jump so easily. I think a lot of characters in general need AA improvements. Cuz there are some pretty dumb jump ins as well, and missing an AA jab is surprisingly a lot easier than you'd expect vs certain characters due to how their jump ins are. Like, I've gone to AA jab Cammy on numerous occasions, only for her to stick out a different normal and throws off my timing for the jab, and I get hit for a chunky BnB.

No one would care about the AA jab, really, if you didn't get the left/right mixups. Take out that, and the value of a good AA jab diminishes a lot, especially if you buff up other AA normals and even add counter hit frames during jump frames.

Honestly, I like the idea of not being able to jump so easily. I think a lot of characters in general need AA improvements. cammy's jump ins are the worst in the game man. just dp/fierce like the rest of us.

whats wrong with using an invincible move to aa ? there's zero way to implement no setup after jab aa unless they specifically make a mechanic that recognizes it and instantly teleports the person to the ground with increased recovery frames on jabs.

ill agree. The only reason I jab instead of ryus other options is to get the mixups. But yeah it's hard vs cammy so I usually just got for dp or party vs her. I do tend to find Mikas jump lk and Alex's jump hk hard to jab as from some ranges as well, so again I just dp.

And Cammy jump ins are awkward to AA is all. I'm not even saying they're good. Just awkward. And it's not even just Cammy this happens with.

it's just weird that thing you're asking for being implemented with jabs already exists with your dedicated aas. you dont get crossunder for free. so why not just take jab aa out? youre saying its inconsistent with some jumpins so its fair, but a reason to keep it is consistentcy? when you have a dp?

doesnt make sense and sounds like your using it as crutch or an unnecessaey luxury for your aa game. i mean they did a poll and nobody likes it so hopefully capcom listens

They would most likely just nerf the hitboxes or make the hurtbox larger on some of the jabs that aa a little too well. Also, buff the medium aa's so if you read a jump, you can always get the aa. Nerf some of the jump in's that have hitboxes below hurtboxes.

If you jump at the same time someone throws out a cr.MK, they shouldn't have time to recover and aa you with a jab before you can hit them with your jump in.

I thought about this a while ago, but figured some characters would end up doing insane meterless damage for AAs.

Imagine getting hit AA'd by Balrog. LOL!

Because that's the only thing wrong with it IMO. I don't see a problem with it, is all. If anything, I'd wanna see a lot of jabs buffed in hitboxes, but nerfed in the reset opportunities. It's consistent, for sure. It works on any anti-air, what I'm saying about it being awkward is just sometimes characters using different jump ins and it alters the hurtboxes and makes it awkward to time sometimes.

It's whatever, I'd rather see it stay and actually given to other characters. If it's just taken out, whatever. I just don't see a point in removing it completely.

Pretty funny you talk about crutch, and have been basically talking trash about my character since you've played me in a matchup my character doesn't even really win in and who is pretty difficult to jump in on in general.

In all honesty, for how little reward you get for getting AA'd in most cases without a DP, I'd want it to happen.
