Any interest in an online tourney? JUST FOR FUN, SMALL money?

I mean, if everyone wanted to throw in a couple bucks (literally, 2-3, maybe $5) for some kind of payout to the winner that would be cool too.

The thing is, we all KNOW it's ONLINE gameplay. This tournament doesn't hold any weight or standing other than "I won an online tournament". It's not Get it in Ohio, it's not EVO, it's not Summer Jam. It's an online tournament. We all know that.

Having said that, who would be interested? Version 1.2 Juggernaut's hack (or 1.2 on PSN, noob is banned from juggernaut anyway, you all know how to change to human smoke). Standard format for any tournament, double elimination, 3 out of 5 regular brackets, 4 out of 7 winners losers and grand finals. No holds barred, standard tournament rules apply. To be held on MAME/PSN (that's what yours truly, the TO has, so it makes sense). Mame P2P would be standard and preferred, then Mame on server, then PSN.

Again it's online, if it's laggy or spiky you would just reboot everything and try again. documentation is good.

Would like to do this in about a month or so, maybe less.

Depends of many factors. If many are free to play against each other, the date, The timezones, etc.

I play for fun, because either it's competitive or casual, I like to play just for fun. Just to kill my time here in this life. That's all.

That's good. Needs to be more people like you. Some exist only to create drama, manipulate, and attempt to divide the community

I wouldn't put money down for an online tourny personally. it's not worth it when u can just play for free. Kill bill ran umk3 online tournies every month here but stopped.

Yeah dude that was a long time ago.

I held 2 online tourneys early 2015 that had decent turnouts. Hasn't been much interest since then so I thought I'd throw dough out there as an idea to get people in. Just an idea.

I am down also. I am rusty as fuck and my pc right now is under repair. I recommend picking a date. Being we r using kalleria/mame i can help stream provided my pc is repaired by whatever date.
Keep me posted i am deffiintly interested. I just need to get rid of rust last time i played umk was at nec2014 and it was the umkte so yeah its been that long. :(

Ed Fig, whats up my dude? Tell Natas I said hello and hope he is doing well. Also FYI in the future for anyone you CANNOT stream umk3 from the same PC it is being emulated on no matter how powerful of a PC, it will mess with the game speed. A secondary computer must be used.

@tehdrewsus I will donate $100 to your online event, I do not want to play. Only stipulation is because @NoDoubt doesnt feel its worth it to put in money and lags anyhow, well then he does not have to participate to give others a fair shake at enjoying themselfs.

Let me know.

EDIT:

It should be run on Server that way it can be shown if somone lags on purpose with lagstat. Also if @Shock is going to stream it, he can just be a 3rd party in the server room and stream all the matchs.

I could theoretically run a server from work but I'm in NJ and that would favor the east coast US. The tournament would need to be limited to the weekend and I'd probably have to be there to monitor it. We have 500/500 internet.

bass had told me on Skype bac in Feb he wouldn't attend Ohio cuz he's got better, grown up things to do than waste his time traveling to an event 1 state away

Now he won't play an online one either but wants the community to grow.

Idk seems like dementia or disabled brain damage to me. Anyways, by all means take his money tho lol

Yea lets bash Bass because he doesn't want to hog the shine and give anyone else a fair chance to win a tournament or cannot spare his personal time to travel because maybe he's like almost 40 and maybe has a career and a family and other obligations to attend to. We should really get on the dude because he takes $1000 out of his pocket so other people can go and enjoy themselves. Lets roast the man.

I play online more than any other player, its that Bass Factor I understand, Hell i even tried to play online with you and John Vargas bka Mr(s) Spin, but you guys wouldn't play with me because you wanted me to add you to my facebook friends, and I just dont feel comfortable adding someone who pretended to be a girl for like 10 years to my personal friends and family, Im sorry LOL.

Arion is fired up sending me crazy shit on skype right now, because of the Miss Spin comment I mean ok dude fine she's real ok you win.

Anyhow lets up the Ante, I will donate $100 to start and I will donate $20 for every player that signs up, EXCEPT Arion beause he has better shit to do with his money and wants to be Mr Negitive.

Thats right ANY PLAYER that signs up and plays in the event will earn a $20 Bass credit, except Arion for being a sour tryhard trying to ruin other peoples fun.

@Shock as long as you are willing to promote it and bring some of your buddies to play I think that you and @tehdrewsus working together can produce a really nice online event.

u don't attend tournies cuz maybe your embarrassing lol.

U put in money, but then start shit with players recording lobbies n rooms callin them garbage players.

Pick a side. help the community or trash it. U seem to like doin both. Disabled, wheelchair vegetable here with his panties in a twist

Nextime I ever win money I'll donate it to your wig cap collection. that way none of your hats or wigs will be ruined alright?
