Why are people against pokes being cancelled into specials? Being an injustice player this is life for me.

5050s should be patterned after mk9 scorpion vortex, opponent guess wrong = another vortex, you guess wrong = you get punished, not going for another safe vortex again ahaha

Anti-airs univerally buffed across the cast

Backdashes normalised across the cast (to about the level of Jacqui's).

All safe armour is 18 frames startup or slower.

All mid normals cannot be low profiled.

Block breakers require one bar of meter and take all stamina from both parties.

All pokes 7 frames or faster are at least -5 on block

Jump attacks cannot be cancelled into specials on whiff (think alien tail flip after jump in or mileena teleport after jump in)

Reversal window for normals introduced (this is essentially the same as saying get rid of block stop).

I would change the tech throw system to just be pressing the throw button during the start up / active frames like all fighting games. Why should I break out of throws by jabbing or low poking?

About the pushblock at 1 bar of stamina and meter...would be a problem with chars that build meter fast. You almost couldn't put pressure on them.

Maybe pushblock at 1 bar, 1 stamina and inability to build meter for a while (still build meter from damage received, but not from specials or blocked attacks from opponent)
What about only 1 pushblock per round that still costs 1bar of stamina and meter each? Or each time you use it, it costs one more bar of meter? Seems fair enough to keep it from being abused by some characters. But then again if it cost more meter to use it the next time, characters that build more meter would still be more likely to have that meter to blow than others. But 1 per round really makes it something you have to think about using it.

No more intentionally whiffing air normals into special cancels. Especially looking at all you Kung Jin players right now. Whiffing j1 into auto correcting divekick is scrubby.
At least it's not an armored launcher... Looking at all the alien players out there lol

You can't have that because people will just be always mashing buttons while they block, which will option select block normals and tech throws at the same time
Which is what it was like in USF4. It works. I think the window is tight enough that if you end up inputting it twice in the window it should negate your tech...

It is better this way
1. All armor launchers are death on block, except Goro punch walk because he would be total shit without it.

2. Everyone has a 7 frame poke.

3. All D2s are a universal anti air option for the whole cast.

4. Pokes can't be canceled into a special except for very specific pokes like Kitana D1 because she needs it to do her MB fan bnbs, and I'm sure there are other examples.

5. Any poke that is 6 frames is at least -5 on block(get fucked Jason)

6. 1 bar pushblock
 
All jump over 1's and 2's are equal, none of these godly punches available only to a select few characters like sub zero and scorpion and d2's that are equal across the board.

So what if a character has a safe 50/50, but it requires a bar of meter to be safe, has short range, and only gets a big combo in the corner?

"Zero safe 50/50's" as a universal rigid rule doesn't make sense, as much as it's a common talking point here. You can completely have safe 50/50's and be balanced in other ways.

I can't think of any other mechanic in any fighting game that had to be unsafe irregardless of any other unique drawbacks added to introduce nuance to the game. Even in games like Killer Instinct there's safe + on block 50/50's that make sense when examining the character as a whole rather than just looking at a single mechanic in a vacuum.
Man ppl just say that "no safe 5050" shit just because they heard it so much chars like reptile are fine with his plusoverhead even though i personally hate him being plus it doesnt break the character

-D2 have automatic priority over all air attacks and do not whiff on anti crossup attempts
-throws can be teched using just the throw button however window is tiny bit smaller to compensate.
-jump in punches no longer jail on block and are neutral on block.
-armored launchers are all full combo punishable
-majority of runs are slowed down except for BRC who needs a mobility buff if anything.
-female hurtboxes no longer affect launch height and no longer low profile certain mids
-every character has one poke that is 7 frames at least
-every character will one safe 50/50 option that will not convert into much and another one that is unsafe but has more reward. Example would be like ninjutsu Scorpion's f2/f2~takedown where one is hard to punish and one that is unsafe. Or something like safe 50/50's that has reduced damage is also workable
-Reduce hitbox on certain jump ins like Sonya's jip or Kotal's

-Armor breaking strings (Cage 12, Liu B12, etc) can no longer be canceled into specials on block (Just leave tanya's out of this :p)

Implying that mashing buttons to tech out of throws isn't in the game already :p

but seriously.... I agree. That OS would be much more braindead if that were to happen. Throws beats blocks? Not while I mash when im blocking boys.
