Street Fighter V General Discussion

Normalize grab immunity.
NRS games arent very popular in Japan and for what i heard it's Japan's own Evo in JAPAN.
I was talking more about all the other games. GG, BB, Tekken, KoF. All of higher concentrated scenes out of America. I feel the way America plays NRS, SF, Marvel is like that in Asia for other games.

I disagree wholeheartedly.

This game having easy execution overall has nothing to do with the fact that Karin has hard combos vs. the rest of the cast.

Ken has st.MK, probably the 2nd best whiff-punishing normal in the game (aside from Mika's f+MP?), that's EASYILY hit-confirmable into the crazy kicks TC xx HP SRK for effing godlike damage range-wise, for the amount of resources used (none). Even if you can't hit-confirm it from max range, which you should be able to by "spending 10 minutes practicing", it's only -6 which means most of the cast can't punish properly without meter or what have you. You can also cancel it into ex Hado to be plus on block.

Only hard hit confirm Ken has is b.mp into Chin Buster 2nd TC. Guess what tho! You can cancel this too into ex Hado to be plus on block and in their face! Don't forget that you can also link it from st.lp or cr.mp which makes it WAAAAAAAAAYYYYYY easier to Hit-Confirm.

Finally, Ken has cr.mp, st.HK (mid-hitting CC that can combo from anywhere if it hits, also can link into cr.HP if VTCed), st. HP (9f CC mid-hitting move only -3 on block), air Ex.Tatsu (braindead tool to get in by using 1 bar), normal crossup air Tatsu that can launch into a combo, meaties that beat 3f normals from ANY KD barring backthrow (unless corner), TONS and TONS of Damage/Stun when in his never-ending V-Trigger state and gimmicky (but safe) tatsu knockdown setups. Try AAing his Triggered air tatsu and get comboed into over 400 stun for a plus on block aerial move that has no hurtbox.

Yeah, Ken is really hard to win with........

I also don't agree that Cammy and Ryu are easy to play. As the level of competition rises, they become progressively harder to win with. Not that they aren't good characters! IMO they're both top 6 (Ryu being no.1 and Cammy somewhere around 5-7).

I believe the easiest characters to play currently are:
1. Birdie
2. Necalli
3. Nash/Ken (can't decide, honestly...)
Karin does not have hard combos compared to the rest of the cast though. She has a few non optimal combos that have some tricky shit going on but her BnBs are simple(I'd say her swaggy stuff isn't even that hard since the games execution is just that easy but whatever.

character difficulty isn't all about combo difficulty though. Matchup wise Karin has a better time than Ken and tool wise she blows him out of the water. As for kens hit confirms being easy, they might be compared to other games. However, in sfv they're harder than pretty much everyone else's. Karin doesn't even have to confirm, she can just end in shoulder instead of tenko, or just end in any of her non negative buttons(all of them).

Edit: also, shame on you for saying kens st MK is the second best whiff punish normal in the game. Karin, Chun, and Necalli at least have better ones.

This video proves nothing. How are we supposed to know if you actually confirmed that or not? You're more disturbed than I thought. stfu wow
with your eyes? can you not see? how did i edit if the music is perfectly in sync?

idc if you believe it or not but is this really like some crazy hard thing for you? It sounds like ur about to have a breakdown or something

look i turned key display on. does anyone else not believe this is not impossible to confirm or what?

Can't believe he got so salty that he sucks he had to put his fingers in his ears about it. That's the problem when scrubs worship top players believing this stuff is magic or something. Anyone can do what they do or more with practice. This isn't even "hard" idk why it was so personal to him.
I can get it raw off a crouching m.K or just do two fireball motions with crouching m.K first then crouching h.K. But I guess some moves come more natural to some people as I can't get Gief's SPD and some people say it's easy.

Lol by what I see both Sub and Shazzy are really good players, I've read many of both your posts here and both have valid points, I'm not mother Teresa but it'd be much better if you two just made peace, were fgc guys, let's get along.

Damn Dubs if only you could see what Shaz is posting about you. Like does he text his mother with this language or what?

You know what, I'll just re-post what he's saying:

fukboi on dubs needs to learn his place, as if its my fault hes never beaten me in a set without some super high tech teleporting lag strats. I would expose him but rudebois like me shouldnt waste time on scrubs tbh

Does it matter?
Hmm. Confirming low forward into super is definitely doable; not easy, but definitely something you can learn.

I spent 10 minutes with both Ken and Chun trying this. I got more consistent, the more I practiced.

It might actually be easier in a real match, as you may be able to react to the hit as well as what your opponent was doing.

Both Momochi and MOV are known to do this consistently.
