I found what seems to be a pretty useful 1 bar aura juggle combo
B12 iceball jip 242 run b12exaura b12slide
Does 30% and leaves you with an almost full timer on ex aura

Yeah, for a B12 starter that generally wouldn't be worth it, unless you were going for a Parry setup, which is easier off of a Slide ender than a Burst ender, and you wanted the damage mitigation in case the Parry whiffs. So, in that case, yeah!

Of course, if you're gunning for extra damage, you could end the combo early with B12, and then go for a 50/50, in which case you could hit confirm into whether or not spending the bar is worth it. Though this wouldn't lead to as much damage overall as the Parry setup.

Either way, glad to see people labbing the EX Aura juggle tech!

@boba_buster, you magnificent bastard. You just made me think to try something new and holy shit do we have another breakthrough. Everyone knows you can't get two Auras in one combo, yeah? For whatever reason NRS decided that the second wouldn't leave you at enough plus frames, even if you EX, to link to the next hit. This does not apply for EX Aura air juggles!

So, we can do something like this now:

B12, Aura, B12, Ice Ball, walk back, Burst, JIP, 242, run, B12, EX Aura, B12, Slide for 33%
FYI: ending in 123, Slide is easier and gives 32%

As has been stated before, since this damage is equatable to the regular, meterless version, it's only for specific setups, if you're low on life, etc., but it works and builds you bar!

Something else for the group to lab. I'm trying to get the max damage out of a raw EX Slide combo, with Aura on, without spending extra bar. It really feels like there's more juggle there, but the most I can get is:

EX Slide, walk forward, NJP, FJP, run, 1, B12, Slide for 24%

This is why I knew this combo had 2 NORMAL Auras. Maybe you just didn't notice. xD

Aura Starter> FJP> B2> B2> 242> 123> EX Slide> SS> Aura> NJP> FJP> 123> Slide. ;)

The 2nd Aura> NJP is the most tighter link. I did it with Aura> NJK.

Aura Starter> FJP> B2> B2> 242> 123> EX Slide> Aura> FJP> Ex Slide (Brutality)

Not worth the bar.
JIP, B12xxAura, B12xxIceball, JIP, 242, Run, 1, B12xxBurst. Meterless 34%
The whole reason I said the 30% one bar was good was because it left you with a almost full timer of ex aura , I think any time you use ex aura you should try to keep it up as opposed to breaking it , it's too valuable to waste like that

But you can just do the meterless combo, end in 123xxslide for HKD, EX Aura.

@Tanno, sorry, I should have clarified: I meant two Auras being used as links is what I've never seen before. Multiple Auras can definitely happen in other ways, perhaps because you started with one, or because you put one on after hitting with EX Slide + Aura to get the freeze. Though, in the second example, putting on the Aura cuts your damage, which is why I tend not to list it. Don't get me wrong, having Aura can make the damage trade worth it, but I'm usually trying to list max damage.

Back to your combos though, which I always appreciate(!), how the heck do you do the EX Slide Brutality? I can never get it to work, lol.

As for the other debate, ending in Slide and then doing EX Aura doesn't give you as many plus frames as the other option, and might make it more obvious what you're going for (i.e. Parry setup). Plus, you lose a percent of damage, if we're talking optimal =)

Didn't work? Let me check this in 2 Player game. I might have been wrong in this.

Maybe you didn't unlock it? Try going in the Krypt and find it. I say this, because it works for me. I tested it. The 2 Ex Slides could be the double Brutalities just in case the 1st EX Slide didn't work.

I have it unlocked on my Xbox One version, but not PS4, and I'm pretty sure you can do brutals even if they're not unlocked. It just says to do the EX Slide though, but I thought maybe you needed to hold something special while doing it is all.

In PS4 it doesn't need anything special. You just need to do the EX Slide. That's so weird for X1.

Not being unlocked, not being brutal. If you can't open somebody up, you can't be brutal. xD

BTW, IRL there's a real Sub Zero. ;)

Edit: make sure aura is on as well

Edit2: actually I just tested it, it only works if you haven't frozen them already in the combo. The ex slide has the be the first "freeze" effect for the brutal to work.

The ex slide brutal only works when both players are grounded.....I think?

It works even in air. I tested it in two player match.

Try this and you'll see:

EX Slide> Aura> FJP> EX Slide.

Otherwise, I wouldn't even add this in here.

I will make a new video adding those brutalities and the combos we found so far.

Yeh I noticed that too, I just tested it and added another "edit" post to my previous statement. I found out what's really causing it not to work.

The EX Slide consists of the first freeze. But at my surprise it worked, when I did Aura> FJP> Ex Slide. You need to enable your Aura on.

Still looking for the highest damage off of EX Slide + Aura. In the corner (i.e. you're in the corner, so reverse positions after you hit), EX Slide, B2, D1, B12, Slide does 25%.

You can also do EX Slide, NJP, walk forward, 242, 123, Slide for 25%, but it's a bit harder.

I was hoping for more, but it is what it is.

While I was at it, tested NJP, which I don't think I listed before:

NJP, FJP, run, B12, Ice Ball, B12, Slide = 25% no Aura

Basically, same as his A2A JIP combos, but no Burst ender, so he can't get more with Aura on.

Obviously, Sub isn't hitting with too many NJPs, but if he does, there you go.

And ended up testing EX Burst against a high jumping opponent (e.g. jump ins or cross-ups), using the same B12, Ice Ball juggle principle. You can do:

EX Burst, run, B12, Ice Ball, NJP, FJP, B12, Slide for 28% with no Aura. Aura on, it's 32%!

I'm definitely going to be anti-airing with this more often, lol.

how are you getting aura on and it's doing more damage?
