Question What character do you think can/cannot make top 3 at a major?

Final Round was March 18th-20th
Last patch was March 29th.

Kotal khan was buffed in the latest patch. Pnuts Kotal beat Sonic Fox's Alien when Alien was even better to get Top 3.

But I guess Pnut is a fraud now after doing my research. I'll hold that L.

Kitana won ESL and Evo. And that was just ONE variation. Ya'll lucky I don't travel..I'd body half of ya'll........

I strongly feel goro can win I just feel most people who play him including myself dont play hard enough and train well enough there is like nothing wrong with goro at all

Im sure sonic fox can prove erron can top 3. Did he not play erron most of the way at Evo? Idk I only watched top 8. Also is cyrax really not that good? I find him pretty nice.

You can call me a downplayer all you want, but the fact is that shinnok loses (and loses badly) to every top tier character. He has no shot at top 3. If the community was better at the mu, he would struggle to place at all.

Unless Shinnok's path was full of his really good MUs (Imposter) in top 8 it doesn't seem like he could get top 3/win in this patch. If they nerfed the top tiers for sure he'd be able to make it to top 3.

Everyone saying that Sonicfox got top 3 with X character or won with X character really need to learn how to read a thread.

yeah i used Variations to be more clear for people who dont have as much time to play the game as most of us on here. i have seen alot of confusion on this forum when someone states a character is good against many matchups, then later get told by same person only one variation is good and the other two lose those matchups. to people who don't know all 100 variations and there placing it helps to list in such format so whatever misunderstandings are enlightened for all to see.


and i just put Sub because i believe he can make it by himself, even though i understand he has not done so yet, its just a personal opinion. and I intentionally based my list on variations as stated before to eliminate confusion. many characters only have one viable variation and listing it the way i did for me makes better sense.

And no offense taken. Sub very well may not make it, i just believe he has plenty of tools to do so fully being aware of his disadvantage against the Female Fury
