Question - Sub-Zero For someone considering getting MKX, what is Sub-Zero's standing in this?

It's the holidays and I get a bit more enthusiastic yes :)

But sincerely, I've watched all the tourneys I could , major and minor, and most if not all GM players rekked the competition until they ran into a Lao or Quan. It seemed very onesided as well in the other matchups.

I know on paper it's not that bad, but why can't I see it in action as well :-SS

I realize they are his actual inputs, but the way you listed them makes it seem like you think thats a true block string or even a thing at all

I'm well aware of what lao is capable of, just don't see how this is relevant

I'm way behind and I don't know how long I'll be invested in playing consistently with SF5 on the way, but I'll definitely give it a shot.

Thanks again everybody! You guys have me really excited to play this character! I'll be reading through this forum to figure out how to approach playing him.

He's great, not phenomenal but great.

Also I hate this argument of, "Oh people never adapted." Midscreen I guess that works but in the corner the clone was a wall that if you didn't have tools around it you may as well put down the controller. It didn't go away on block ffs lol. It was Predator's trap but the size of a character model

3. How numerous are Sub-Zero's bad match ups? Which are universally agreed upon to be bad? Due to the nature of his clone, characters who can teleport and punish as well as characters who are zone-oriented and can pester him with projectiles without needing to approach his clone, have given him problems. Is that the same in this game?

4. What character would you say best covers Sub-Zero's bad match ups?

@Versa anytime for you, brother.

one other thing i forgot to mention. the clone acts like a shield now. projectiles don't pass through it. instead they will shatter the clone, leaving it with cooldown. you can also throw the clone at your opponent.
