Question - Pumped Up Jax's BnB is a language I don't speak...

EMPEROR_THEO

I only use characters with wakeup scoops.
I don't think my execution is terrible in fighting games. I'm usually pretty good about stuff like Johnny Cage A-List run cancel combos/pressure or Johnny Cage Stunt Double run combos.

I can safely say I've spent a cumulative time of days in the training mode, and....

never once...

never ever ever once....

ever ever ever once....

have I landed Jax's overhead dash punch into run into F21 combo.

May somebody be kind of of to explain the series of events in landing that BnB and if there is any kind of trick or secret in landing it that I don't understand. I try to land the OH Dash Punch and then I do my best to buffer a run into F21 but it never ever lands. I even have my test dummies as male characters too!

In advance, thank you to everybody that helps with some advice.

@EMPEROR_THEO do a very fast, but very short run then do F21. I had the same issue and it was because I was running too far.
It's so weird though. Like I can land F3 after OH Dash Punch like 4-5/10 times because I get that the cancel needs to be instantaneous on that.

But every single variety of run cancel I try after OH Dash punch never lands.

Your mothers main.
I think of it when doing it as bfd2runf21 all as one long input and that is the single factor that helped me the most. Practicing on female hitbox while not as consistent at first helps a lot in the long run.

That defintely makes the run coming out after OH Dash punch much more consistent, so I do appreciate that. I will try and post a video to give you guys more of an idea on how my attempts look like.

"You play weird" It's called being unorthodox ;)
I think the same way the guy told you above about inputting it as a long string, it may have something to do with it. Did you know if you do neutral j1 and input "run" before landing, your character will take off right as he touches the floor? Same may go for that overhead. Just my 2 cents in case it helps.

Instead of doing FF Block out of recovery, hold block during the end of the bf2d recovery, then tap FF after recovery.

Hope this helps you out, as it solved all my problems with Jax.
Do you then do F21 immediately or run a little bit and then?
